SPIDERLILY'S PROFILE

I am a six-form student studying Art/Design, Music and ICT. My dream is to become a professional artist and designer, creating things in my mind that hasn't been realised yet.

I am also working towards becoming a composer.

Lucid Dream Night One: Amnesia is the first game that I made for my school Art & Design project.

By the way, I'd like to offer my graphical abilities and/or musical skills to aid other RM projects.

Please contact me if you are interested.^_^

I love the piano in the instrumental! <3 <3

I sometimes compose music on this software our school has but most of them either turned out ok-ish but short or long and shitty. Ugh. ><

Ahh thank you...nice to meet a fellow composer:)! what software do you use?
I envy music students. It must be so much fun...

I have to say I like it, just it feels like the things were cut out more from the "normal world", like did she just passed out when the questions were over or what? But over all I like it, maybe that's why I feel this way.

You are absolutely right, I actually deleted one part of the game sequence as I could not finish it completely finished before the Art exam deadline= =

That's why I want to make sure that when I make my second game I should give plenty of time and preparation, this game was just done in a rush so it still has a lot of things to be improved upon.

Finished the trial. There are some grammar mistakes, and you forgot to capitalize the first letters. Some of the punctuations are out of place too. But overall, the gameplay is fun and the effects are mind-blowing. The sharkies reminds me of TWEWY hehe. :3

Feedback:

-Intro is damn pretty. Music, graphics, and writing all harmonize together to produce some really professional-quality stuff.

-Some minor spelling issues. A lot of misplaced capitalization.

-Some funky passability stuff. Not game-breaking, and seems to only have to do with events (I walked all over that first knife, clicking for it, until I found the magic sweet spot. Likewise, the first time I entered the room, I was able to walk through an event telling me I couldn't leave. I didn't leave the room, I just wandered around in the blackness around the edges of the map. When I came back to the room, the event telling me that I couldn't leave kicked back in.)

-Battle animations have a nice amount of detail, although the freeroam environments feel pretty sparse.

-Lots of paths that look like they should lead to another screen, but do not actually. Maybe close them off at the end?

-Possible bug: got two red cocoons from a battle, text displayed this as "red cocooned cocoon"

-Sprites are phenomenal. I really like the generic spirit enemies, as well as Alartige.

-Soundtrack is smooth, and doesn't feel repetitive.

-All in all, you've got an awful lot of polish for such a short game. This is impressive. Even if it's not still a work in progress, this is an impressive thing you'd made.

Cheers mate! I'm so happy that you've enjoyed this game! These advice are great, I'll definitely take these into account when I make my next game.

Lucid Dream - Night One:Amnesia

I'm really sorry that I had to stop making this game for a while because of my hectic A-Levels exams, university preparation, part-time jobs and everything...it's just that my life had never been so busy and stressful before.
I'll continue with this game when I've sorted things out and got more time, might make my game in a different platform though, cos I'll be starting to learn how to make 3D games in uni(yay!).

Thanks again for playing this game!

Thank you all very much for your feedbacks!!!!!! You guys are great!!!

Typically, one good way to give a male character an intellectual or sophisticated sounding name is to take a name that's so long or so proper-sounding that anyone in their right mind would use the shortened form of it, and then make him use the long form of it. Bartholomew, Alexander, Benjamin, Frederick, Timothy, Leonard, etc. The same thing works, to a lesser extent, with two-syllable names that are almost always shortened, like Samuel or Stephen.

Of course, intellectual and sophisticated isn't the same thing as nerdy. You might be looking for something more like Sheldon or Simon. The kind of name that no one has any more, and has no shortened form, so if you get it you're screwed for life.

That's quite a lot of cool names!
However nerdy names are usually very long...
Personally Alexander is my favourite nerdy name but "Doctor. Alexander" just sounds like some kind of tongue twister.
ooh I really like the name Samuel - it's short and sophisticated!

How about Adrian? =D That's a nerdy name. Have to say, loving the art for the game. Don't skimp on drawing hands though!

Thanks!
Dr. Adrian? "Adrian" sounds very classic...it reminds me of historians for some reason.

I love what I've played of the trial so far, but for some reason, when I try to save it gives me an error and shuts down the game window.
I know how to fix this problem now. I'm so sorry for the inconvinience...I hate bugs!!!
You would need to open the game folder and then create a new folder in it, then name it "Sav". This should work.
Thanks, I'll give it a shot. :3
You're welcome! Thanks for telling me this bug.
I have replaced the original game download files and tested it, it works alright now.

Note this name event is not included in Version 1.0 - Wholescreen Edition.
In the 640 x 480 Window edition, the player can name the character "067" at the beginning of the game.
