I was listening to a heavy metal song one day and misheard the lyrics "STAR SKIPPING ACROSS THE SKY!" don't even remember the actual lyrics or the song itself but it was forever stuck in my mind. Even in this day and age, I'm still googling myself, searching for a song that may not have existed in the first place. Trying to find out who I truly am and where I came from ;(
Craze

i mean at least the name and the issue are kinda similar !??!

uh i used to frequent and run Good Charlotte fan forums as "Crazyeyes", becoming "Crazeyes", shortened to "Craze". I use "Crazetex" when Craze is taken because... I really have no idea.

I also go by SilverBolts, which is just a reference to Vayne from League of Legends. In RP stuff I'm typically August Harland because that's what I wanted to change my name to a few years ago.

When I was a kid, I drew a comic series about a kid named Slash. He was a stereotypical shounen character in every way (sword, headband, big spiky hair, kind of dumb - he looked like Crono) and he had a little pet that was a rip-off of Pommy from Bomberman.

I sold those comics for $.50 a pop, I made a killin'. I only ever finished two issues tho... I have old, old copies somewhere.

Oh! I made a superhero comic called Karate Ant and Super Ant back when I was 7! They were humanoid Ants fighting crime and beating up Bad Cat and the Martians from Mars! Still have it lying around somewhere.
I read a mediocre fantasy novel and a character, a dragon queen actually (humans and dragons were coexisting and they had a human and a dragonic queen) was named Kylaila! She was an advisor and quest giver of sorts, and rewarded the hero troupe at the end too, but it was really a side character.
I really liked the name so I used it! It also has the lovely "y" and it's free on most sites and games : )
It also makes people struggle with its pronunciation and that just makes me happy when I see/hear it <3 Just something about that uncertainty and trying one way or the other is really fun. Especially as they hesitate and struggle but nail it, haha. Most people end up saying it the same way regardless.
And perfectly okay to do~ in fact, since I had never heard it spoken before I just had my own pronunciation in my head. I always read it with the German "ü", since "y" in the German language can be either "i" or "ü" depending on which. So I wouldn't expect any English speaker to do that, and it frees up any interpretation~ I quite like the Kailaila too and have grown used to that.

I do feel drawn towards dragons a lot, and white ones too or especially so? So I say it's a good fit. It just became normal to me as a name before I considered that too much though.
Not real shiny origin but on the plus side, I never need to add numbers to my username. x3

Was drawing cars back on 2006ish and needed a brand for them, so I shuffled brand names and jury rigged them "Cadillac/Lamborghini/Morgan". (Changed the M because Calamor sounds lame) As most brand names are the surname of their founder, added a generic American name to create it's founder

Ended up keeping it as protagonist for the stories I made later on and others I'm yet to release.

I (with 9 out of 10 probably) thought it was because of the guitarist :p
Where's the scans at?

This moment of George Clinton's "Atomic Dog".

Also, agreeing w/ the above: I can't believe slash isn't named after the guitarist (or at least the Chrono Trigger character named after the guitarist), and SHOW US THE SCANS!! >:o
Yeah? I dunno, slash never struck me as following that for his name. Just didn't feel right to me.

And I love the Dynasty Warriors music : )
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I was making a Geocities webpage in 1996 and really liked Final Fantasy 6 and my favorite character was Locke. But the username Locke was taken, so I tried LockeX and Locke1 and Locke0 and then LockeZ, which wasn't taken. So now I'm the final Locke, the ultimate Locke, the Omega Locke. And sometimes FF3LockeZ if LockeZ is taken - an alternate name that I picked back when the game was actually called FF3, and have kept using.

It's my name (Chloé) but spelt slightly differently. Yay for originality... haha ^_^;
Sgt: I went through a Sgt. Frog/Keroro Gunso phase
Mettool: A briefly-used localization for the yellow-helmeted Mega Man enemies now known as Mettaurs.

This is honestly a very old nickname I've been going by since about 2008 and I need to change it up.
The A is for ANDERSON

Also, if 'kentona' is taken (it often is), I expand it to kentonagbone, which is just a combination of my nickname here and one of my many highschool nicknames 'gbone' (The G is for GIGANTIC)

the evolution of 'gbone' was lame (as all nicknames are):
Kenton -> Ken > Kenny > Kenny G > G (yes, I was called 'G' before it was cool) > guh (pronouncing the letter 'G', so basically my nickname for a bit was just a grunting sound) > G-bone (and also sometimes 'Kenny guh')

I've also had the nickname of 'Sonic' (I used to be fast) and 'Kilt' (this was from an adult hockey league I played in. The playercoach forgot my name but knew it started with K and said the first thing to come to his mind when he was telling us who was going out there for the final minute to try to score the tying goal)
I just thought Dyhalto was a pretty cool guy.

DW buttrock is the best. It was a critical factor when I played Dragon Warrior Heroes and right from the start I was missing it. I need it for my mindless peon smashing games :<
I keep reading it as Kentona-Begone

So, I rebuild and play pianos. Way back in prehistoric times, Al Gore invented the internet, so I convinced my mom to buy a computer. Even then, I was learning to rebuild pianos but I had always played since I was even more ancient, way back in the 80s (That was a time when telephones had these things called cords, and they were tethered to the wall, and you couldn't even text. It was a really backwards time). Anyway, we even had to plug our computers into the phone line to get internet. It was called dial-up.

Anyhoo, I think I've mocked the millennials enough.

So, I got my first email account, but pianoman was taken. So was just about every variation. I even tried putting numbers after it. They were all taken. Interestingly, I've never met a single person in my life with anything remotely resembling the screenname "pianoman". "Pianoplayer" was taken. Just don't even bother making a screenname with "piano" it. So finally, I tried piano with my first and last initials: piano T. M. pianotm! It wasn't taken. And to this day, I can open an account at any website, and it's not taken!

Also, there was a time when Yahoo would delete inactive accounts but wouldn't release the names, so I ended up with pianotm26 as my Yahoo name. That's pianotm ending with how old I was in 2006.
