Title says it all. Actually I know that with simple coding I could do it... but fact is, I don't know any kind of coding. So the question could also be :

Simple tutorial with a simple form of code that could help me do that.

I need a good program to import midi to mp3. It can be easy-mode (like a click or two) or need some configuration/reconstruction/recomposition of the song. I just want something good that doesn't need me to recreate the entire song.

Looking for a scripter (a good one) for VX

Hail,

I'm looking for a scripter on RPG Maker VX in need of work.

I have alot of system to work on/modify. I can pay/credit/whatever it needs so that things are done propely.

Ideally I'll take just one, for simplicity, so you better be all-around.

What type of things I need to be coded :

1- Modification of the GTBS : Mostly for incorporating system present in my game.
2- Modification of basic HP rules : I want a system like White Wolf pen and paper game for HP, where you have few hit points that value more than mere number, each is a health state rather than a health percentage based on abstract values.
3- Modification of the spell system : Abilities and spells will be done differently, with OOB preparation and such (bargain with spirits, etc.).
4- Implementation of a reputation system : Reputation system for factions and individual characters that can influence the game developpement. More than this, some particular event can cause switch of reputation where you cannot redeem yourself (ex: you kill someone dear to X, no mather how nice you are after this, you'll always be hated).
5- Insanity system like Call of Chtulu games (somewhat).

And much more, depending on what is possible/will of the scripter.

There is alot of possibility to have fun with the game storyline and ideas. I have tons of idea we could explore and I don't even mind letting the scripter give his ideas or even change some things I already made.

I cannot post anything here since I've never released full game, neither did I started mapping or anything. Right now I have full script written on computer and tons of ideas. Systems are all written down and balanced (on paper, I need to write them on the computer). Some of the music too is done, and I have concept art (my friend is a pro designer and artist).

Request for a script/tool for conversation

Hi everyone,

I'm a big fan of branch conversation that influence both future event and the said conversation, much like Baldur's Gate or Black Isle/Troika/etc. RPG did.

Fact is, with a big scenario, it's insane to do. Takes hours and hours to finish dialogue with tons of conditionnal branch. I don't think I can ease the conditionnal branch, but I wanted to know if there would be a tool or a script that would ease the CREATION of those dialogues.

Strange displaying

Hi,

I think I have a problem.

- I don't see avatar of people, neither their name
- Most fonction when I look in people's profile doesn't work and the displaying is weird and things go one unto each other
- Some graphical details are weird and the font sometimes have problem

Am I the only one ?

Hero customization VS Hero preset

I want opinions about this debate I have in mind.

What do you prefer - and why - between heroes without class or personnalities that you build while playing (like main character in Baldur's Gate series or FFV class system) or pre-set things (like FFVII storytelling and Super Mario Rpg skillsystem) ?

What about those that are inbetween ? Like Diablo II skill system that gives player some customization after the class choice - which is definitive, or having multiple ending/multiple character option depending on the player's choice while still having a strong main character ?

Paintshop pro question

Hi,

I'm trying to use this alien program for one thing, modifying character size and position on a charset so that it fits my works.

That being said, I'm not able to just select a part of the png, copy+paste to another part of the png. It just open a new ''project'' with the new image being only what I tried to paste.

What's wrong? Can't we just copy+paste?

Destroying RTP in VX: need help

Hail,

I prefer the RTP, or at least the general look of 2k3 in terms of graphics. Or else, maybe even ripping ressources from FF6 or whatever.

I wanted to know if you have any template to change them? What are the difference in terms of format or lenght? Both for characters sets and tilesets.

Experience point script for VX

Hail to everyone and thanks for reading and hopefully helping me.

I'm looking for a script (or an event made system, doesn't matter, but to me script seems to be more solid when you understand them) that would enable me to give XP points to both dead PCs AND non-fighting PCs (the one that aren't in the party at the precise moment of the fight - I use an PHS-like system).

The only thing I have in mind right now is to get rid of standards XP points and give XP by event at the end of each fight, so that way I can give it to everyone.

What do you think ?
