I'm working with the VX Ace Engine now, but I previously created the Koli's Sorrow series on VX. My current projects are in my attempts to finish the Koli's Sorrow storyline and wrap up our lovable characters in a nice little bundle.

I wouldn't mind anyone playing my current two games and leaving a review or comment, as it helps me out a lot. If you have any decent criticism feel free to lay it on me.

Referencing a face graphic

So I've come into a bit of a problem for making my current game. I know how to call up a character's name in a conversation, but not how to summon a face graphic specific to that character. For example, slot 1. the main character.

When you start the game you're allowed to choose your character's class and their name. Changing the class (or gender) also changes the face and look of the character. I want to know how to call this face graphic up each and every time I have N1 talk.

Currently I have the setup as:
\c(3)\n(1)\c(0)

Of course, with brackets in place of parenthesis.

The heart of the matter: Is there a shortcut or possible a script to help me avoid using multiple pages for every event? Many thanks. My first Forum.

Summoning a face graphic in VX Ace

I've been making a game in VX Ace and my own searching has never yielded my answers. I set my character's info at the front of their text box by using:
\c(3)\n(1)\c(0)
That allows me to set color to green, summon the name of character 1 (you) and then make the rest of the words white. This helps since you can change your name, but you can also have up to 8 different faces through the two genders and four class options.

The root of the matter is: I can't make their specific faces appear without making each event eight times. Is their a shortcut or script that I'm unaware of?
