WARNING: This book contains copious amounts of murder, heartache, love, orgasm, plot twists and Puff, the Magic Dragon.

Yeah, so I write in my spare time and just thought I'd share three of my novels with you all. I doubt anyone's going to read any but it's worth a shot. Leave comments!

ME AND TOM UNDER THE BOARDWALK

Synopsis: The protagonist in this novel becomes aware he is in this novel in the first chapter. Realizing this, he undergoes an epiphany to make this novel the best he can make it. But how is he going to do that? You would think you would know these things from reading the back of this novel, wouldn't you? It doesn't help that the protagonist is the narrator and he knows less than you do already about this book. And it doesn't help that the first chapter begins with mutual masturbation and ends with a heinous murder.

WARNING: This book contains copious amounts of murder, heartache, love, orgasm, plot twists and Puff, the Magic Dragon.

LITTLETOWN SECRETS

Synopsis: In Littletown, everyone has a secret. Realizing that they have no one to trust with these secrets, a young boy sets up a small business of "secret keeping": a dime per secret.

It is mostly successful due to the other children. And through these secrets the mystical dangers surrounding the town are revealed, such as the clock tower that houses a ghost, a mischievous imp lurking in the forest and the truth of the tree that gobbles up the birds perched on its branches. And through these secrets reveal childhood dilemmas such as bullies, rowing abusive parents, isolation and peer pressure.

Darken

Please step into my office. Have a seat... this may be a weird, sudden question, son, but... Is everything okay at home..?

Is it possible to equip two accessories in RM2K3?

You know... like how you could've equipped two relics in FF6.. Or do I have no choice but to set one as a "Helmet" and the other as an "Accessory"?

What other RM games have inspired your projects?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you dudes have played or seen someone else's game and wanted to emulate something from it! As for me, I'm always trying to emulate games that have cute or quirky storylines.

- Rose Chronicles
- Wilfred the Hero
- Rainbow Nightmare
- Homeland
- Island Sky
- Grave Spirit
- Tina of the Stars

Playing Rose Chronicles was the first time I realized.. woah, I could do isometric battles! Wilfred the Hero, Homeland and Rainbow Nightmare had bizarre characters but I could still feel a sense of connection. Island Sky and Tina of the Stars just had a nice atmosphere I wanted to mimic sometimes. Grave Spirit too, though I wasn't crazy about the game itself. What about you?

I am terrible at copy and paste!

I am making a short game in RM2K3 called "Leo and Leah", about a young lion trying to rescue his giiiirlfriend from some wolves. I am using mainly Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3 and Terranigma rips. I have a bunch of spritesheets and I keep messing up making them into charsets. I guess I am just terrible at making charsets! Usually when I had graphical edits and stuff to make, I asked other people, so... :(

If anyone wants to help me out, PM me or post here and I'll give you the spritesheets and show you which ones I want "charset'd". It would be greatly appreciated! It'll be about 10-20 individual characters to assemble or so. Your work will not go to waste. I've completed two full games already, posted on this site. This is a short project anyway. If you want some screenshots of the game so far, here you go:

Post and critique screenshots!

I'll start off!

Just post and critique other people's screenshots and we could all improve ourselves.

Out of the cesspool

Some of you may know me from before, some of you may not. I used to make RPG Maker games but can't really find much time nowadays to do so anymore so I just plan on writing a few reviews and articles and posting from time to time. Uh... a few things about me. I enjoy a lot of cinema. I listen to a lot of soundtracks especially. I'm an amateur writer who tries to read as much as I can and attend any workshop I could. But those are pretty sparse in the Caribbean. So yeah, nice to meet ya.

I'm also Mary 4D's lover, much to the jealousy of Rhyme.

Mary 4D

I am fairly new to this forum and there is one poster who has already caught my eye... well... two. One is tardis, who has posted some of the best pictures in the picture thread. The other is Mary 4D. Mary 4D... you have teased me long enough. Let us get lost in a hurricane of kisses, like in forest with Geno. Let us have our own little earthquake. As we make love, shake screen gently... Inscribe your teeth against each of my bones. Ah, yes, inflict me with a Weak condition and let it hurt, but don't let my HP go to 0.. if it does. Use a Phoenix Down and an Elixir on my cock. Make me groan as loud as Kefka's laugh. Be the Celes to my Locke. Be the Robo to my Lucca. I will jump you so hard you will swear I have Dragoon Boots and Dragoon Horn equipped. You will only have to Wait 0.0 for my ATB to be refilled. We will dance the あいのセレナーデ (Love Sonata in the English translation...) together like two horny Moogles. We would summon all the Espers of lust. If you had a faceset, it would be one expressing UTTER SATISFACTION.

Let us stain the sunrise with our love juices and hope that there is no lag. Each of your breaths is a love song that sway the tides in me, like when I see a wonderfully done custom battle system... Let us just run away together and laze nude in a field where the sun is nothing but a fiery blotch... a kiss blown by you on God's cheek. And into the night, when the moon looks like a giant teardrop above the ocean. Like a stunningly well-mapped cutscene.

Let me be lost in you. Let me be lost in your chipsets, my darling.

A Game Designer's Manifesto

I believe this was either posted or linked here before. If it wasn't, here it is again. This is a 15,000-word document I wrote about a year back on a different site on how to improve the plot and character of your games. People seemed to like it back then. Hopefully those who haven't seen it would find it useful.

PART EIGHT - Closing Statements....................... 79

I'll just post the introduction here:

"This tiny tome of mine would probably more suit makers of RPG's or games with long storylines, though I will also try to write a little for those who want to write a simple, hour-long game or so. But I want to concentrate more on story-oriented games.

It's no secret that some of you produce some very, very bad story scripts for your games. Story may not always be the element of a game people look most forward to, but I always like to think of it like a knot or a cog. If the knot is loose, if the cog is rusty, there is a great possibility the machinery isn't going to work as well as it can. And within that possibility, the chance lies that your machinery can fall apart.

And we don't want that to happen.

We want to make sure all the little cogs, all the springs, all the nuts, bolts, wires, are all in place and ready to go. That's why I'm writing this â€" to help you prepare yourself to do this. One last thing to keep in mind, I'm not an expert at game scripting. I've never produced anything I have been very proud of, with respect to writing a game's script (that has been turned into a game, anyway) but I do think I know some tricks, some hints, some tips that could at least help you improve a little, help you see your faults.

This guide is split into parts and at the end of each part I will pose a number of questions that you can ask yourself, as well as supplementary material, mostly about literary writing, not game writing, that I thought would be great extra reading material."
