In a place where there are literally thousands of games like this to choose from it doesn't make sense to force players to put 20 hours in to get to the good parts. I suspect it's only kids who are still in high school(or lower) that actually play this game past 20 hours. The average person does not have that kind of time to put into a buggy vulgar game, there are better games to play/things to do/life to live.

You're right about that. But I'm going to look to make the beginning of the game some more interesting. I have imagination enough so that should not be any problem. Btw Ganon can you send me your save game ( if u still have it that is) so I that can see why the summon gauges are not appearing? You can send it to finaltear3@live.nl

story

I find it a bit cruel that you are implying that I did such thing. As far as I know those are legitimate downloads. (I'm not only posting here btw) I can assure you I didn't do such things you said in your story. Also your critics are not building towards me, they feel too me almost as if you are mad or jealous or something.

However I stay with my point that the reviewer didn't see much of the game yet to know how it is. The same that you cannot know how Inception is by watching only 10min of the film.

Anyway, this review shows me that things need to be done to improve the game especially in the beginning. Even though I don't agree on all points I will look how it can be better.

The battles unquestionably froze on me at the beginning of the game. I really have no reason to lie about something like that. It happened multiple times on the map, before I got Jessie on my party. It only happened when I used magic, and went away as soon as Jessie joined up though, so I'm assuming the problem had something to do with the game trying to progress to the next character in the turn order when there was none, or something of the sort.

Yeah I know of the bug you are talking now, but that is something different you told in your review. Only the very first battle freezes if you use magic before you attack. I tried to fix this of course but until now I'm unable to find the problem or let alone to fix it. But I hope will do. U were not playing the newest version either were some of the bugs you mention were already gone.

But hat's also a bit my mistake because the only place you could have known that is the website or the forums of my game.

I just tried this in my own copy of the game, and it didn't work.

That is really strange, because that should work like no tomorrow. I dunno where you tried that? Because on some places that is blocked. Like the summon yard book room and some other places where it overlaps some other systems.

You should never say this. If a bug causes a problem, it should be removed, no questions asked. I'm not even willing to call it a minor bug, because it left me extremely confused about if the magic system was working at all.

I agree that all bugs should be removed, however that a spell message appears 1 time again in an other menu is something that I consider as no biggy or not even a real bug. Of course it's still bug but it's more like a misplaced tile or something.

That it appears 5 times with you I find a bit odd, so I will look for that how that's possible. However I'm not going to change those events too much because it is too much work for the small thing it fixes and second I don't want to take a risk that a major bug will come if I do so.

Also u use a lot of plurals for some things while there is only 1 bug or mistake of that.

If you give the player nothing to go off of, then there's nothing to intrigue them or interest them into finding out more.

Yep I agree, dunno yet how I can make that better but i might think of something. And yes, it's a pity that you cannot see what the rest of the game has to offer. But I hope you will give it another shotwhen I polished it some more.

Seeing that so many people complain about the text speed it will be on max speed in the next update (2.2) As well as the walking speed will be improved, there will be a running system this system may cause some bugs but those will be resolved in later patches.

There will be some other changes too but those will be post later.

Thank you for your review, however you have seen just 1% of the game. And some things you wrote are hugely exaggerated or not even true. basically you don't have a slightest picture of the game yet.

But you do have some points that I can work on.
Having played the game myself, I have to say that there's really no exaggeration in the points she raises. I honestly wanted to review the game myself, but the gameplay is so buggy, slow and the story so nonsensical and uninteresting that I couldn't force myself to play any longer. The fact that battles randomly hang and force you to close the game alone makes it a chore to play, to say the least.
Well battles never hang with me, and nobody posted bugs about hat either. You can see the summon gauges with the 9 button. And the spells, yes sometimes it appears 2 times that you have learned something, this is because those are 2 different systems and I need to rewrite both of the systems to fix that which will take me months. So I decided to leave that bug in because its too much work for such a small thing.

The story starts really when you are 20 hours in the game, this is done to keep a mistery in the story. Remember the game is very long so the story needs to be build slow.
Why does the story need to build slowly? The game is long because the story builds slowly. A game should be able to grab the player in the first two hours. How can you demand players endure 20 hours before the game starts getting good? In that time, you could play several other games to completion which are good all the way through.

You really need to work on the pacing. Intentionally padding out the game to make it longer is wasting the player's time.

well that's a choice I made in the beginning. That almost the whole game the player does not have a clue what is going on and what is real and what not. But I will look if there are ways to improve the beginning.

This review seems planted. I've gone at least a few hours into this game and have no praise under my belt. (Oh, no.Except for the main town's theme. Interesting tune)

I'd review now if it were ethical to do so without completing it.
At the same time, I can't believe anybody would play this to completion the way it is.

Maybe it's 90 hours because of the high amount of grinding, halved walkspeed, and needlessly large maps.

As you could have seen in the review the game starts slow, this is all intentional. The big things happen some further in the game.
