nicob has nothing else to do but let's try's after purging magi's resource folder.

gunna jive about Love and War for a bit. i saved ya'll a seat.

if this were 5 dollars on a mobile device. i'd buy it. man, that pisses me off so hard. like, would love to hand pick some games and just say "put these on mobile devices for humanity to enjoy because you created an entertaining product"

it's funny to me too, because society will allow someone who is good at sports to get carried to fame and fortune, while the creator of LAW is asking for paypal donations because times are tough. where is the justice in that?

How come people don't explain their features? They just..

i think people are probably scared to really think about it or admit they take inspiration from others. i think this is a line between totally lifting and just taking certain ideas and expanding them or creating them in your own personal image.

to be honest with you, when it comes to writing or scenario development i will turn to either books or movies as the medium, and more technical and some visual aspects from video games.

it's interesting to view other peoples ideas, but, like i said people do not share because it would just be various bleach scenes which isn't very inspirational.

Example of completed one:

yeah, like, it's cool how it's just concepts and ideas plucked from the most obscure things. it's quite possible the reason for this is because rm design is less about artistic creation, and more about robotically copying a formula. who knows.

How come people don't explain their features? They just..

yeah man, seriously. after i wrote this i started to think. how come people don't explain why they actually insert content into their games?

like, you will always see "ff materia system is in it because it's cool heh" and it's very very weird to hear this from people. it's like a robotic feature and they have absolutely no opinion or feelings on it. "i made a big sword because cloud does"

it scares me.

Steam Greenlight overview. UMAHBRAH???

i do not think it is a bad method. it makes you consider it though, considering you can get free advertisment from various other places by simply e-begging. tigsource, indie games, etc.

i am totally not against the 100 dollar fee at all if it keeps quality control, but they should have simply purged all of the games before, or at least decided to do this from the get go.

i am sure they did not expect the flood gates of the worst. so i mean, you can't blame them.

Genesis is going commercial

you'll fit right on amaranth.

(title change) Does the designer hinder your gaming experience?

huns. hatem.

Turning over to the "Dark Side"?

i am doing conceptual design commissions for a friend of mine, cutting him a deal, and it's circulating around 1k so far. bare in mind i'm trying to minimize the cost because he's a friend.

i have another friend who is trying to get money together to hire his artist for around 5k for just a basic demo.

i think you're minimizing the cost factor for artists. all i'm saying is, if you know artists who will construct a full rpg for you in under 2k. like, i am just not connecting the dots to 2k. if you're just getting a few pieces of art, or a couple songs i do not see the point.

10k is pretty bare minimum
20k is like, you pretty much secured your game development/costs/living expenses for 1 earth year.
XXX beyond that is, it just really depends on the game. like i said many times before i don't think RTP games should generate any funds, regardless.

i mean, i'm not ragging on your game or anything. you can do whatever you like. i am just not understanding. i watched your video on indiegogo, if you read my blog, the same things sort of apply to this as well, create a trailer instead of just, really drawn out game play, buy proper video recording software, etc.

that is all the insight i have to give.

goodluck!
