How to remake Final Fantasy VII

I don't usually go to IGN much but I was told about this article and it then got me thinking. As much as people want these remakes of past titles, going about them is just as important as making them in the first place. I wouldn't mind the remake to happen but I know if it is ever actually made that I'm pretty sure I'll have a love/hate relationship with it given the changes that would probably be made to bring it to modern standards.

So what about you guys, what's a game you would remake and how would you go about it?

Alone in a crowd of rugged men, nursing his drink in the far corner of RMNs only tavern: Tau.
An admin sits down next to the table Tau is at, and downs a bottle of beer with the forcefulness of a hard drinker - a man who drinks to kill the pain.

Two bottles, three, four...

A new member approaches him, bottle in hand wearing a satisfied grin - just registered.

"Let me buy you a drink" the new member says "As a token of gratitude for hosting my game"
The admin agrees allowing the user to fill up his cup.
"How is it, running your own site. Must be gratifying giving all these developers a place to call home?"
The admin empties his cup in silence.
The user refills the admins cup wearing an even bigger grin.
"So, think you could give me some makersco-"

Without word the admin flings the contents of the bottle at the new member.
The new member goes into a rage and draws a knife!
No sooner does it sheath Tau' fist sends it flying through the air.

Faced with the united front of both the admin & Tau, the new member leaves..
BTW this completely rips off Lost Odyssey

Slender is a new free indie spookfest based around the meme of the Slender Man.

Originally conceived in a thread devoted to creating fake paranormal photos on the Something Awful Forums, The Slender Man was the most convincing of the lot. A slim, elongated figure with a featureless white face and root-like protrusions, he appeared in the background of black and white photos shortly before tragedies.

Now Hadley/Parsec Productions has used his likeness as the basis for a horror-game. Wandering around a forest at night, you're tasked with collecting eight notes about ol' Slendey while avoiding him. In the vein of Amnesia, you take damage by looking at the creature. The dim lighting and muted colour palette tend to play tricks on your eyes until it seems like anything could be him.

One man is dead and another hospitalized after a bizarre assault off Miami's MacArthur Causeway reportedly forced a police officer to open fire.

City of Miami police say the incident began Saturday afternoon about 2 p.m. when an officer responded to reports of 2 men fighting in the bike path of the Biscayne Boulevard exit ramp, alongside the Miami Herald's parking garage. There, according to the Herald, the officer observed a naked man eating another man's face:

The officer...approached and saw that the naked man was actually chewing the other man's head, according to witnesses. The officer ordered the naked man to back away, and when he continued the assault, the officer shot him.

The attacker continued to eat the man, despite being shot, forcing the officer to continue firing. Witnesses said they heard at least a half dozen shots.

According to CBS Miami, police sources said the victim had "virtually no face" and was unrecognizable.

" attempted to separate them, there was some sort of confrontation," Miami Police spokesman Willie Moreno told Local10.

Photographs taken from the Herald's garage show the naked man lying dead at the scene. Police said the second male was transported to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
