Dialogue when recruiting characters

author=Shuryou
Let's say you made a game with one of its main features being a character recruiting system. The system is akin to a visual novel where you are presented with things to say, affecting the outcome of the event. The characters you recruit are unique, and therefore the recruiting dialogue will be unique. What will be your conversation style, length, and quality?

(I need examples!)

That is pretty narrow. He wants our opinion on how WE'D pull this off. It isn't saying/ asking what his should be like. It is asking us how we would do it.

Font Help

I need helping with some Font help.

I need to know if it is possible to copy existing Fonts from my Windows/Fonts folder into the Fonts page of Rpg Maker 2003 and have it work? I've wanted to use my Dearest which is a really gold Old English Font and not sure how to go about having it work for me.

Dialogue when recruiting characters

Well if you're a sucky writer, playing an rpg with bad spelling mistakes and a story that doesn't connect and/ or make sense will have people quitting. So if they don't share that opinion, they more so are just idiots.

RPG Maker VX Screen Resolution

Who cares if he is harsh? The thing is, it all depends on how the other person reacts to his posts. If they react badly, it will possibly cause something else to grow out from it. If they act good, then most likely not.

People just act how they normally act in most cases. It all depends on the other person's reactions.

If they normally act harsh to people, they don't see it as such and see it more as being who they are. Being honest more-so than harsh.

Dialogue when recruiting characters

Well it isn't too hard to answer it. You all have answered it.

The only thing you should do, is base each person's dialogue on how you want the character to act. Which is obvious. Base it on how they act, look, act in battle. Many things can go into it, but only you can do it.

I just proposed to my fiancee using RPGmaker VX. Video included :)

Reminds me of the Chrono Trigger Hack. But I enjoyed this one much more than the CT one.

Hell I kind of think that this should be turned into a complete game. There is something about how it went, how the dialogue went also, along with the great music, that makes me believe that it'd make a good start to a great game, dude.

Need Box Art?

It is for looks, which is still of some sort of importance, wouldn't you say?

Need Box Art?

Pointless is in the eye of the beholder. So it isn't pointless if the creator and posters join and like it.

Saying it is stupid, even if it 'might' be cool is the rudest thing I've seen on here yet.

How much to charge for videogame music?

author=Fallen-Griever
I got my music diploma a few months ago, so now I'm a professional musician
You're only a professional if you're getting paid. Diplomas have nothing to do with it.

Anyway. Work out how many hours it will take you to produce the content they require (rough estimate). Multiply it by the amount of money you expect to make per hour (the lowest limit would be the minimum wage in your country, if it has one). Multiply this by about 1.5 or something. Suggest this value to them.

Actually, if you get something stating you're a musician, out of a university or a college, you're considered a professional musician. Someone who just thinks you have to be getting paid to be one doesn't magically change that fact.
