I like the ideas for this.
I was thinking about posting more ideas in my topic I made but I'll do so here too so you can see if you like them.

I am planning to do one where you can recruit many people such is how Suikoden works, and if a party member dies you have a choice of 2 extra people in your 'storage' so to speak to choose from. But if they die, then it places 2 more in the storage out of the total amount of members recruited, but you choose which 2. This makes fights last longer, but also the down fall is if the leader dies, and isn't revived in a certain limit of time it is a game over. But his stats are not purely based on his stats alone. My idea is to have it where he has added stats based on who is in the party. It sounds weird, but it just will be like this.

Say you have 6 members out. Each person is of a special importance to the leader. 1 person who is skilled in strength, well, his strength stat will be added on to the leader, but it takes away from other stats, say, if the power hitter he is using has remaining weak stats; for example, being weak in Agility. This is where the other members come in, to make up for having certain stats go down in power.

Figured others might like to see this and use it, if it is good.

This is one way I figured would keep the leader alive, but not make him too over powered. There would be many combinations to raise stats of the leader. Level up. Weapons and armors. Passive and Active Skills. Also the main thing, the other members.

What does it mean for a game to be an RPG?

I noticed how that sounded way after the fact. I'm just using that as an example of what I've seen in most games that I've played.

All games branched off from 1 single genre. So I will feel that an RPG can be any game. This is a reason they use differing genres on other games, to market it to others, and to organize the RPG genre and the other one's as well. Now after they did that, they started using ideas for RPG games, so that would be the most common known factor in those games; or so how I see it as.
This really is more of a 'one's own perspective/ opinion' discussion than anything, really. As their are many different definitions for this type of thing.

I was joking. I totally didn't need an explanation as to what you need to do until you can do the 3D looking one. XD

Since I got a game to do, and even a Manga to do, I have a lot of work to do to keep me preoccupied until the time comes when this stuff is done.

My game design brain dump thread

How hard is it to stick to the initial post anyway? Shouldn't be too hard to do that instead of sneaking up and changing it to talking about your game.

Bin Laden Defeated

This was a reply to him being given Military training in the US, and going to school here. He didn't just go off and kill many people over the years because of what we did. It may have been one thing, but that would be a small reason.

Also to the poster above you. If you're here in America, going to school, you'll have DNA on record in some way or the other.

Well hurry up :P
Cause this game reminds me greatly of Wild Arms 2 and I love WA2, due to the 3D meets 2D world.

Bin Laden Defeated

If it was basically a religious thing and he was with us in terms of helping us, you'd think he would know people to talk to and explain if anything was going wrong that he didn't like. But instead he becomes an extreme terrorist and kills many and bombs America. I highly doubt it was because of some religious BS that he went crazy.

There is no logic in what was said in that whole topic about why he was doing what he did. He apparently had many connections, using being one of them, and yet if it was because of some religious crap, he'd have used those connections and talk it out.

No, he was as crazy and evil as people said. He was an idiot. A rich idiot, who was crazy and just wanted to kill people if he didn't get what he wanted.

Looking for some dungeon puzzle ideas...

Well in my game I'm doing, I'm doing a big series of puzzles inside ancient ruins. Basically, when you go in, there is this ancient monster standing in-front of 3 designs that are on the floor behind him. He explains that they are portals. To get through the Ruins, you'd have to activate all 3 designs/ symbols. Light them up. He gives you a spell, to use the portal with the symbol for daylight. The puzzles inside this area all focus around light based subjects. For one, there is a guy in this room that explains that he must locate a small difference in the long bookshelves and then read the passages from the book inside that one, then go to the gate and reply to a series of questions. This takes you to more places in the Daylight realm. There is Daylight, Dusk and Night Portals.

I'm just saying this, as you can always base your puzzles on subjects such as how I chose to do mine.

Bin Laden Defeated

Once, the Government came right out and said "We don't have DNA evidence of Bin Laden and he has many look a likes." They also said that a lot of the look a likes were his sons.

Then they came out and said they have DNA of his Sister or...I think they did.
Where did this DNA come from? How could they prove it really was his sister if they hadn't anything to base that DNA of? Scratch that, the sons could match, right?

Did you know, he went to School in the US? Really. That meant they HAD DNA of him long ago. All of this circles around and around. I believe they could have found him much quicker, but were milking this until they had to finally go after him and put him down for good this time. War is money.
