I'm glad to see you have chosen to continue with this game. I played the demo and I really liked it. The mapping and puzzles and being trapped in this weird-like prison world were all interesting.

Hey thanks, that means a lot :)

Gotta be honest though, my life has changed a lot since starting the development so the total time I need to complete it may be pretty long still, you know, work and all lol. I do intend to finish it eventually, just can't give an ETA because of all that.

Hope I will be able to work more on it in the future, it should be manageable since it won't be a huge game overall.

Hello,
I think i'm stuck in the second trial. I want to reach the skill torch to learn a new skill but i got blocked by the fire. I don't know how to cool it down. I figured that i have to get something from the third trial to fix it, but i can't go anywhere in that area. I also can't get the generator with my current skillset so i can't really proceed. I'm not supposed to grind my level to clear the area without the new skill... right?
Thanks in advance!

The intention should be indeed that no grinding will ever be necessary, but balancing the game has proven harder than I initially thought so you might've run into some kind of bug in that regard. Is there an specific enemy blocking your path, and if so, which one?

Just found this game and like it a lot,am puzzled about what to do in the Blue Seal Gate, doesn`t seem to be anything to interact with in there!!

Yeah, u reached the end, blue gate is still very much under construction but I decided to keep it in as sort of like a preview. Maybe there's still something in the hallway with the doors ;)

Forsaken Review

Hey Aqua, thanks for the review. I actually stopped development on Forsaken a while ago and postponed it indefinetly, might get back to it but I lost my latest build in which I fixed A LOT of issues and at least gave a little things to do in Nautis Valley. I hope to one day find the time and motivation to pick it up again but with my current activities, it's hard to say. Anyway, thank you for playing and im relieved you had a good time, though it wasnt meant to be THAT punishing :P

[GENERAL] Getting into spriting

Thanks man! Oh, but this was a beast to make and I'm not really thinking about making big sprites my main artstyle, though i'm still struggling with the minimalistic type of artstyle smaller sprites use since I tend to over-detail all my drawings, but I learn as I go :)

Much thx for all the advice and tips though, I'll be moving this to the creative forum in a bit.

[GENERAL] Getting into spriting

Thanks for the tips, I learned a lot from all those tutorials, and with it, made this as a test/practice project:

What do you guys think? Any feedback?

- Using bases is good for learning.
- Derek Yu's pixel art tutorial has everything you need to know about definitions and the suggestion of a working order.
- There's nothing wrong about ditching the working order sometimes.
- Look up a few online books/tutorials of animation frame by frame since that's what you'll be using.
- Just because "less is more" is true doesn't mean you shouldn't use more colors if you need them, in fact i usually use a ton of colors and then i reduce them until an acceptable amount remains.
- There is nothing wrong with using tools to assist you, unless you are a die hard purist you don't need to limit yourself to the pencil and eraser.

Thanks, that Derek Yu tut is really helpful!

So, what tools to assist me do you mean? like tools in PS or are you talking independent software or hardware? Is there even a program entirely or primarily built around pixel art?

[GENERAL] Getting into spriting

Hey folks, I wanna get my hand into spriting/pixel art for a side scrolling action game, think Double Dragon, but I also just want to be able to make my own sprites for RPG maker games. Now while I am not a complete noob, I like to ask for a few pointers I need to take notice of or if there are any templates that I can use to learn the ropes. Just practically any advice or tips are welcome. Thanks in advance :)

Conspiracy of the New Order

I encountered a bug in the first fort, if you reenter the fort before finishing it you'll be transported inside the walls... I ran out of potions mid-fort and returned to buy some, but I couldn't continue because of this, it's pretty game breaking so I suggest you fix it. Not bad at all for a first impression but i'm not far in at all, so i'll keep my ratings to myself for now.

[RMMV] Game crashes whenever I save

I've had this problem too, sort of, if it's anything like I had you need to check if you have a RMMV version higher or equal to 1.1, if so, check if your project's rpg_managers.js file, when opened, displays either "rpg_managers.js v1.1.0" or "rpg_managers.js v1.2.0", if it just displays "rpg_managers.js" it's still using an older version of the .js files so then you need to copy your .js files from the source folder to your project folder, of course, you'll need the source folder to be version 1.1 or higher in the first place so check that beforehand too.

!!!EXCEPT PLUGINS.JS, IF YOU REPLACE THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO SET UP ALL YOUR PLUGINS AGAIN FROM SCRATCH, YES, ALL OF THEM!!!

Backup your project's .js files anyway, just in case.
