I have been making games since the year 2000, in this time my games have won numerous awards and many of them have been critically acclaimed. I have performed many different roles in game making; from making sprite art, audio editing, beta testing, coding, designing and being a team leader.
These experiences have led me to develop my skills as a videogame developer and it’s an ideal job for me, one that I had always dreamt of ever since I was little. Recently, I have ventured into releasing commercial games including updating my older projects into more commercial and presentable. My first commercially released game is called Save Your Mother.
Despite making games for long, I try and learn a bit something new every time I start new project and love to experiment on new areas and go away from my comfort zones.

Steam has lots of sales. Some developers are grumpy that no customer wants to buy full price and instead just waits for sales.

add dlc's into your rpgmaker game, in the form of an npc that gives your a free overpowered item if you have the dlc installed. Don't worry, someone already did this on steam.
Huh?
I do have DLC for Strangers of the Power already.
Besides I wasn't the one who complained, I shared this as an observation as some developers did ask that from Valve.

EDIT: WHOOPS. I meant to post that as a blog.
No, I'm not.
To verify, it was posted in Steam Developers group and several people commented there.

Tuomo_L, the reason you were told to remove the download buttons on your games was because they violated the rule stating all download links submitted through RMN must be free to play. You submitted links to your Steam pages, where the only option people had was to buy the game. You were given this explanation when you were asked to remove the links.
And I did that, but then Kory said I need to have button for that to qualify for Misaos which put me in darned if I do, darned if I don't situation.

Is it really so far-fetched to suggest that, in the future, Tuomo_L Studio or Stegosoft Games may actually succeed in a meaningful way and employ a full-time staff dedicated to producing high quality games?
I'd like to just point out that I'm not there yet and I shouldn't be judged based on what-ifs just as you'd not judge someone based on pure speculation and presumptions.

I had a good look at your game pages just now.
None of your games has a download connected to it at the moment.
At the very least there needs to be something you can download to get nominated.
That's just part one of why you won't get nominated.
Without going into the rule against nominating commercial games.
Also, updating a game usually doesn't count unless the status changes
from demo to completed. (In some cases a game can win 2 years in a row if all the stars align correctly.)
And let's pretend you can get nominated?
Who would vote for your game?
People usually vote for games they have played to completion.
Your games cost money.
People on RMN are poor (Just ask Kentona... Kidding... Maybe?)
Now I'm going to go into RMN's reasons as to why we don't nominate commercial games. It's because RMN is for beginning indie game developers. Commercial indie games can win awards all their own (Steam has wards, etc...) And commercial titles usually have more money behind them than games put on RMN.
And think. RMN is giving you a platform to advertise your game for free. Your commercial game gets attention here and Kentona gains nothing from it. I think that's a world of benefit on its own.
The status did change majorly, the game was literally unavaivable from the entire internet and did get released earlier this year. That's around the time the game was featured on RPG Maker net. I had buttons but Liberty told me to remove them. You can talk to her about that.
I know a lot of people have played the game and bought it.
I really don't have that much money going into my games than average RMN games, I always spent money into making my games even when they were free, the only difference is that now I get something back.
I'm really not some big enterprise guy sitting in ivory tower, you know? I'm just a one person team.
Kentona gains nothing from freeware games either, what's your point?
