Mine Sweepers Review

Huh, what do you know. There is a problem with the money calculator. You would have thought that someone would have mentioned that before in the past 9 years, but nope.

Challenge of Wishes

Because it's linked on my own hosting, so I can just change the file whenever I need to.

Challenge of Wishes

Because classes are chosen once you are in the game. Character select is just for cosmetic purposes. The cursor under the characters show you what you're currently highlighting for selection.

Also, just a few hours ago I uploaded a new version of the installer to fix a bug where some skills did not have the proper multiplier, which would cause the game to crash in certain combinations.

Challenge of Wishes

I'm sorry that you're having trouble. I've asked some friends to check, and it appears to work fine for them.

If it's just that the Challenge.exe you downloaded isn't working, you can try opening it as an archive in the right-click menu and manually extracting it that way. It's possible that the way the installer program works is not cooperating well with your computer or anti-virus.

Saving Your Game / Cheaters / Linux

If http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms683188%28VS.85%29.aspx is to believed, you could just use GetEnvironmentVariable("UserProfile") to get the location of the user's home folder.

I don't know if you're doing something funny, though. I've run a lot of programs that save stuff in the program folder fine, as long as the program in question isn't installed into C:\Program Files. UAC only pitches a fit in protected folders, of which Program Files is one for some strange reason. This is why Windows games typically use %UserProfile%\My Documents or %AppData%\Local to save game data, as they like to default to being installed in Program Files.

Saving Your Game / Cheaters / Linux

Vista/Win 7 only complains for UAC access if you're saving within the Program Files directory. If you're running it from somewhere else, then there's no problems. It's purely because Program Files is considered a protected folder.

Also, is whatever you're working on able to run environment variables? Games For Windows stuff uses the My Documents folder, which could be accessed with "%UserProfile%\My Documents".

Mine Sweepers

The requirement is only 3 screenshots, not 3 screenshots that show signifigant material.

That said, though, the game is that empty. It's mostly text on a black screen, since all of the "action" is done by the AI and you only see the reports.

Who said anything about a grudge?

The reason is that it's a plain, ordinary country road with nothing around that you get to see for 10 seconds during the introduction, and then never again.

Also, testing purposes.

Ah, it's good to see that the community hasn't changed at all. I missed it.
