VGMUSIC_4_LIFE'S PROFILE

Video game music began it all for me. I've been a composer/appreciator of RPGs for all types of endeavors. Over the years, I've been working steadily within Film, Television, & Video Games professionally as a career.

As I mentioned above, one of my biggest influences is video games. I started off my musical journey with inspirations from composers such as Yasunori Mitsuda, Nobuo Uematsu, Koji Kondo, Jeremy Soule, Garry Schyman, Yoko Shimomura, Dave Wise, and many others in the video game world.

If you're interested in hearing my work, or just want to contact me, I have all of my compositions posted on my official website. Thanks, and all the best.

Music Composer Extraordinaire..Available for your Games! - Thomas J. Peters

Hi there!

I'm Thomas J. Peters, a Film, TV, and Video Game composer here in the RMN community. I've been composing for games for nearly the last decade, and have always been a passionate gamer myself.

I've written for roughly 10-15 independently produced RPG video games throughout the years, and I've truly enjoyed every minute of music creation for games. Being able to craft story and characters through musical themes has always been a major part of my technique as a composer (as some of my favorite composers are Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda, and Koji Kondo to name a few.)

Here I have enclosed a few examples in varying styles to give you an idea of my voice as a composer, and what unique sound I can bring to your RPG projects!

Proudest Musical Accomplisment
Two of them, having a film submitted to Cannes Film Festival was pretty up there for me, but I think my favorite musical experience of all time was having a live orchestra piece commissioned in California. It was for a live Cartoon of Felix the Cat, and the magic that a live orchestra can accomplish is simply breathtaking. It brings all of the creativity and complexity of music and orchestration to an exhilarating experience.

Thank you RMN community, and looking forward to bringing any music to your projects! Pleasure to meet so many other talents among our composer community as well! Thank you all and wish you the best in your endeavors!

Experienced Composer Available for Hire

Thank you! Yes, I did see it. I just recently found out about that event, and missed the 1st chapter. However, I'm planning on contributing to it soon, for the next part, the action cue. Thank you for filling me in, as I'm also trying to see if there's developers looking for music. I suppose this event will be another great area to connect with people. Thanks for filling me in, and I'll check it out.

Experienced Composer Available for Hire

Greetings!

My name's Thomas J. Peters. I'm a freelance media composer available to provide original/custom score for your video game projects. I've been working in the entertainment business for 7 years, scoring music to numerous media outlets including film, television, commercial work, web series, and video games. I've had the fortunate privilege of working with award-winning directors & developers, and am a hard-working, self-operated independent artist.

In terms of work in video games, I have been scoring video games for 6 of my past 7 years writing music professionally. I spent the majority of that time writing music for titles right here on RMN, and have continually been an active member of this community. I'm a passionate gamer at heart, and some of my biggest inspirations for becoming a composer were from playing titles like Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Zelda, Donkey Kong Country, and Halo.

I find myself heavily influenced by musical legends such as Koji Kondo, Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda, Yoko Shimomura, Akira Yamaoka, as well as the great musicians of our modern era, including names like Marty O' Donnell, Garry Schyman (Bioshock series), Jeremy Soule (one of my faves), Inon Zur, Grant Kirkhope, and many others.

I'm available and interested in connecting with and becoming a part of the indie game scene. If you're interested in my work, I have links down below to some of my music demos, and to some of the games I've been involved in.

If you're in need of original music for your game or if you'd like to contact me, you can reach me at my email: thomasjpetersmusic@gmail.com or you can send me a PM on here.

Thank you, and all the best!

Need a Composer for 6 part video game series.

Hi Odin,

I am a professional video game composer, and have worked on several projects here on RMN. If you'd like to listen to some of my work, here are some samples:

Forever's End (additional music): http://rpgmaker.net/games/650/media/503/

Lost Dreams: The Last Magus (sole composer): http://rpgmaker.net/games/3194/media/487/

The Sewers (demo composer): http://rpgmaker.net/games/4358/OST/

Numina (sole composer, currently in development): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlfY11C2JvU

If you are interested in working together, and if you are still looking for original music for your game; I would be happy to write music for you. However, I am already working on a few game scores right now (some of which will soon have demos released), so if we worked together I would only be able to write for you as a side-project. If you are o.k. with this, (in maybe not receiving music right away), and you still need someone please let me know! Thank you! I would be happy to step in, as I am always happy to accept new projects.

Thanks, and send me a PM or an email if you are interested.

Music Composer Available For Your Projects

I suppose the best way to classify my services would be low/no pay. I'm flexible, and available to meet people at whatever cost they can or want to pay me. As I've said, I just want to try to expand my portfolio, and would seriously love to work with anyone who wants original music for their games. :)

Is this voluntary or paid work?

First and foremost, I would like to keep anyone on board who's interested in my services. Generally this means I'll do whatever I can do to accommodate their budgets.

I am generally able to work with whatever budget is available to me. My flat rate is typically a range of $15-20 a track, but my service fees can often be flexible to suit the project at hand. It can depend on how big the game is, or how demanding the level of work is. (Truthfully, I've worked with paid and unpaying developers alike, and even worked with people in a more "barter-system" idea, where I have composed music in exchange to have them help me out by posting my music on youtube, bandcamp, and other networking details.) Most importantly, I don't really want to write music for something that isn't going to be made, or someone who isn't really serious about developing their project.

I just want to get experience for expanding my music portfolio right now, and would love to work with anyone who is seeking original music for their games. Conclusively, pricing depends on multiple things: 1.) The budgetary structure of the project, if any.. 2.) The validity of the game, and reality of a demo release, and 3.) Negotiation: because right now I am simply just looking for more opportunities to write, I am willing to meet people wherever they are at, in terms of budget. Most importantly, I am looking to expand my portfolio, and I'd be happy to work with anyone who's interested in collaborating (as long as their project looks serious, and the game will be playable in the foreseeable future).
