2021 Gaming Diary

Alright, update time!

FINALLY. I finished this game after cheesing my way on to some fights. In all honesty, I never thought I'd cheese this game at all. Then again, with how this game went with its own idea, I might as well do with my own. If anything, I was rather surprised on the amount of enemies that I can fight in DMC 2. There's more variety of opponents compared to DMC 1 and DMC 3. However, DMC 2 lacks a lot of stuff in it, and not just in the gameplay alone. The music was banging, but the atmosphere wasn't. If Kamiya managed to enter the fray earlier, DMC 2 could've been a really good game. Too bad it came too late.

I have nothing else to say about this game. Nothing else.

mfw not good

Oh boy, oh boy. Here we go again with the franchise that has no shame at all... wait a minute. Oh yeah, this franchise has a biiit of restraint. Anyway.

Senran Kagura Reflexions is something that I expected as a visual novel from the way it was presented. Turns out it wasn't. I don't know. I don't know where to even categorize this game at all. It has the looks for a visual novel, but it's characters are definitely 3D (not rendered, actual 3D models). You can interact with them... intimately. You can even do some rather uh... yeah, fanservice. Right, that's the right term.

If anything, I was rather bummed that it wasn't a visual novel, but at the same time felt like I was still hooked up to the concept. I mean, you don't get the chance to actively interact with the hot shinobi girlfriend right in front of you all the time, you know. Definitely will not recur in the next franchise addition, I swear.

At this point, my heart melted. Goddamnit, game.

This was the only game that managed to make me blush so damn hard because of it's interaction. It really made you feel like you're actually right in front of her. It's not like my eyes were dilating the moment she starts to lean on me. Definitely did NOT start to sweat abnormally.

And then this happens.

If there's one thing about this videogame that I did not expect, it was this one. Because hooooooooooooooooooooolyyyyyyy molly. That's a lot of freedom for a game. Uh, no. I didn't do that area first, I swear. I'm talking about hand-holding, you fool. Who likes mammaries these days haha what a kid.

So uh... yeah. It kinda felt bad that I had to repeat the game for five times just to get its secret ending, but I still had fun nonetheless. The game also had an option to skip these sort of things, but I never found myself skipping them—

Oh right, the little sister scenario. Seriously Japan, stop being creepy I swear to God.

Stop reeling me back in you damn game aaAAAA

Worst part is that I'm not over with this game yet. I only managed to finish one out of the five characters that I can be with. I might as well just play this game if I ever feel down bad considering that I still don't have a girlfriend.

Note: This game had some of its moments. 'Electric Massager' was one of them. I can never get over that one.

So uh... what's next? Next up are Outlast 2, Amnesia, DMC 4 and Bloodstained. I would finish them the moment I also finish this fictional story of mine sooner or later, and as well as properly configuring myself to Godot Engine after making the transition away from RPG Maker.

Welp, see you all then.

wtf is a vtuber

Basically, streamers get tired of everyone seeing their ugly faces, make animations of themself and program them to mimic them for streams so that they look like an anime talking. It's apparently extremely popular.

and is super effective.

Sweet Middleground 4 ~the sand castle~

Finally, the long-awaited beach episode.

Alright, update time!

So, pretty much finished Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson. Looking back now, I think that SK2's lukewarm reception was a bit too... over-the-top. While I could argue about how lazily implemented the whole 2.5D perspective of the game, it was the better game overall compared to something like Shinovi Versus. There was more stuff to go on, there was a lot more mechanics (as well as hidden mechanics like dash-jumping), and it nearly playing like Devil May Cry 3 on Turbo Mode.

If anything, I'd want to finish this game completely (100%) more because it has a lot more content to deal with (Special Missions and 'Yoma's Nest'; the Bloody Palace of Senran Kagura). And that's not to say the ton of stuff that SK2 has compared to Shinovi Versus (yes, let's ditch the whole demon concept AND THEN mechanically devolve the characters to just bland look-alikes in game).

Not only that, the game pretty much felt like it was worth it. It's a 3DS game that one can expect, but it gives a lot more than just physical fanservice. If anything, it felt like it was more heartfelt than what SV is overall. Oh yeah, how about we just assume that SV is just bad overall because of how much it drained EVERYTHING just for the sake of, say, the developers giving in to fans that Yumi's timeline is canon, instead of the one they intended. FOR CONTINUITY'S SAKE.

Talk about getting lambasted to non-canon timeline, yikes.

Demotivated. But I'm going to finish it either way. Least I'm not gun-spamming. Maybe.

I'm going to continue along with the Senran Kagura series and finish DMC 2 before the year ends. Speaking of which, I might as well put my Japanese studies here as a sort of 'side-dish'.

Or not. I'm struggling already on the basic expressions. I can read the characters but not the tone yet. :P

Oh and I also finished Kyonyuu Fantasy but let's assume I didn't say that, okay?

DON'T BE NOSY

Understandable. Will remove nose if possible.

It's been brought to my attention that there's some people on here calling for an outright ban on kentona and his use of soy, but I am here to tell you they are OUT of their MINDS

Of course I'm out of my mind. I'm in a vat tube, forever trapped in this horrible simulation of kentona and his use of soy.

Update:

I'm gonna take a rest for a while. Maybe a week or two. All because of the fact that DMC 2 is such a bad game that it bored me to death. Talk about literal tanks that sponge damage (and do no damage).

New gaming desktop came in from Dell on Tuesday. This thing is awesome.

Gib specs plox.

Also, progress update.

I'm playing horny game. I have a lot of regrets right now, including carpal. The most embarrassing way to get carpal.

Addendum 1:
Finished Devil May Cry 1. No, the horny game is a different story. Besides, I kinda finished DMC1 in just one sitting.

Playing DMC 3 actually changed the way I played the game. Supposedly, I should have play DMC 1 first despite chronological reasons. However, I decided to do it chronologically and found out that DMC 1 is easier compared to the nightmares my hand has to face in DMC 3. It felt like the shift of action was drastic. Especially that I started to cheese on opponents I shouldn't cheese on (looking at you final boss and before-final-boss boss). Despite DMC 3 being lackluster on some areas, the fact that I replayed the final boss of DMC 3 more than 1 can say a lot.

Progress Update:

Going to start doing Devil May Cry as well as Senran Kagura. Next thing up on that list would be Amnesia, The Coma: Recut and Sanitarium.

As for WaUTaH's side dungeon, I'll just think of it as a side-job.

And I think I'll have to take a week off so I can finish some of my work.
