I Really REALLY Liked this game,
I haven't felt this much love for a story based RPG maker game for a long time...
My biggest disappointment with this project is that it ended.
I would have loved to see further plot and character development, to see where the game went next.
There are so many games I play from RMN that when I beat them, I discover that I didn't uncover all that the game had to offer. Most of the time I've run out of interest to care to go back and find it.

However, You've truly succeeded in making a great game because at the end of it, I was left wanting more!
Please continue this journey and make great games that cherish story line and character development. Remember, if we the viewer/player can witness a character evolve and grow and learn new perspectives of themselves, they become fully fleshed out characters and that's what people love about stories.
Also if you were to add a tiggy in your next game, I'd Squee with joy =n.n=
Thank you for taking the time to say such sweet things and letting me know you liked the game : ) You've made me blush! I learned so much during the course of this project and it feels wonderful to have made something that someone enjoyed.

Help Center Review

Thanks for being the first to leave a review. : ) This is pretty fair! Help Center was my mess of a first project, and my goal with it was to learn the engine and make a furry hame because there aren't nearly enough around. 3/5 stars was around the mark I'd been anticipating, and I'm thankful for your honesty.

You have a good point about the conflicting statement that the game makes--this is something that went over my head entirely! Help Center sufferes for the fact that we didn't write a lot of it in advance. It is a little like a robot made of pieces that nobody really checked to make sure they were going to fit together well. But the robot can still walk, offering brief entertainment for anybody in the furry nieche, haha.

The woods puzzle being too vague was a fear of mine. I might reopen the game to make this area a little clearer (I have gotten quite a few messages on dA about it) as well as possibly editing some of the background sprites, as I do not disagree with the opinion they are pretty flat. Or maybe I will just put more effort into the art of my next game. I am glad to hear the portraits brought some life it.

The one pop song was actually only intended to be left in the beta, but my betas liked it so much that they convinced me to leave it in and take it out later if it became a problem in some way. I do not claim that the game features entirely custom assits, however. The game page states that "all graphics and some music are original to the game," but this could be understandabley skimmed over.

Anyway, thank you for your input and I will certainly have it in mind next time I open the rm2k3 editior! : )

Also... I'm sorry to ask that, but how do I pass through the forest?
I tried many combinations of ways, but none was the right one.

No problem! I should probably set up a guide. Anyway, puzzle spoilers below the hide.
You must go the direction that no arrow is pointing : )

[RM2K3] Is there a way to walk through an event following the hero

http://rpgmaker.net/tutorials/256/I wrote a tutorial for one some years ago. Maybe it will help?

Thank you! That is very useful.

[RM2K3] Is there a way to walk through an event following the hero

@Trihan Hmm maybe, that looks kind of promising I will look into that!

I used to have a caterpillar system I created for 2k3 that allowed the followers to be walked through while still staying behind the hero, but I've long since lost the code for it.

Basically just having "follow hero" won't work if you have passable followers: you'll have to code a fairly complex system involving storing the hero's X and Y in variables and continually whittling down the difference between that and the event's X/Y to determine which direction it needs to move in.

Oh goodness, that sounds way above my head! X) Thank you for your answer, but if it is truly so complex I think I will just rewrite this scene in the game, haha.

[RM2K3] Is there a way to walk through an event following the hero

I want it to appear as if this character (event) is following the hero, but when the event is on the same layer as the hero the event can make moving backwards quite a task, and if the event is below/above the hero, the event tries to sit on the same tile as the hero.

Is there a way to do this in RM2K3? I've really only seen following characters you can walk through in RPGmaker ACE games so I'm not too hopeful, but I figured I'd ask anyway!
