Boulevard of Broken 2k3 Dreams

come to think of it, since i didn't do any adjustment for linux, does making a game not playable in linux makes it acceptable for the glitch 2k3 too?

Boulevard of Broken 2k3 Dreams

here is my submission in case i didn't have time to work more on it today: https://rpgmaker.net/media/content/users/60485/locker/LunchDelivery.exe

it's pretty much unfinished (sorry), but the content should be done after you are about to leave the forest.

edit: it should at least be eligible for Project1 and maybe other categories if you really want to squeeze it in, but i'll just leave that to your discretion for that.

edit2: if it doesn't work, try downloading rmxp's rtp. i don't have enough time to put a build without it.

[RMVX] Controller Support?

I dont have a playstation controller but if you dont find anyone to help you, i just want to let you know that there are some external apps that you can use to act as a virtual controller. This is how i used to do it back then before i have a controller: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2140751909
Not sure if it will help (or if it still works, ViGEm was retired when i checked it just now), but at least you can start from there.

I need a little help

Iirc aldorlea games are made in xp, so maybe you can try checking some game made with rtp made in xp. Also, what operating system are you using? I assume it is windows but it's better to make sure just in case...

Also, i just checked heroes of xanfurth and it looks like it is made in vx / vx ace.

I suggest you to check if other games from this site also not working (it should be since they both use the same engine and setup). If only steam games doesn't work there might be something wrong with the way you launch the game from steam (which i assume you are not running the game from windows then)

[RMVX] Controller Support?

i usually use logitech f310 which tend to register as a xbox controller and games that have controller support on steam usually work.

i'm not sure which one is the most used ones, but i believe most people either use playstation controllers or xbox controllers (while the rest using other controllers like switch or even generic controllers)

Boulevard of Broken 2k3 Dreams

tbh idk what engine to use...
I apparently cant read... nvm what i said. I'll use xp to learn mapping again.

Chronicles: The Lost Page Review

you're welcome :)
yeah, i think i remembered the skull cavern and the frozen crypt rather than the final dungeon in meteo chronicles. a 100 floor dungeon might be alright but you have to make it interesting enough to explore. as for mystery dungeon, i believe each fight (and floor) can be finished quickly so it wasn't that much of an issue to have a lot of floors, but that wasn't the case in meteo chronicles. glad to see that you are going to revamp it later in the future, though.

to be honest, i'm not an expert at speaking those old-timey english either. but iirc, you just need to replace thou with you, should with shall, etc, although i don't remember all of the vocabs and the rules. the shakespeare translator makes it sounds like he's talking in pirates, though. out of curiosity, i asked chatgpt to translate it and it sounds to be better than that shakespeare talks:
"In the days of yore, she did lock herself away to bolster her mystical might, and she shall rouse from her dormant state once more, when all four progenies she begot stir from their life essence."

well, in that case, then maybe you should make it so that the character won't rely too much on mp-based skill or introduce another way to recover a little bit of mp (example: having defense to restore a little bit of mp so you have enough for random encounters. you obviously won't use it on bosses since it's counterproductive (you take more than you heal), but at least it's useful for traveling to long places since your other party members can pick up the slack)

I Have Two Conflicting Plot Ideas for the Same Game Concept. Help!

> But the problem is this: what game can you possibly think of that had two different remakes/reimaginings that went in entirely different directions but were still based on the same core ideas?

Not sure about games but I can think of 1 series that do this: Fate.
In short, they support parallel worlds so any spinoffs that they made is basically canon.

Luke Daimont: Absolute Mayhem Review

hello!
i think i played the game with always dash on. i always look for that feature the first time whenever i played rpg maker games.

actually, i read the signpost, but i was still confused. i think you need to make the first few jumps more like tutorial so that players can learn by doing.

ah, i see. i didn't notice the importance of the score except for respawning (and probably buying items), and you'll have more points than you need for respawning purposes so i don't really notice it.

well, 30 hits for the clown boss seems too much, even if the boss' hp doesn't reset. you can only do 1-2 hits after they are doing their attack after all. also, yeah, the explosions wasn't that clear enough. i don't think i jumped at all - i either run to the safe direction or just "tank" the damage.

also, you're welcome! thanks for making the game too.
