I really liked this game!
The characters are really fun and memorable (especially Simowl Belmont). The writing was fun and quirky, and the ancient computer aesthetic was cool too.
The puzzles while simple were engaging enough. My one problem with this would be the combat. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, It's basically Final Fantasy, but I feel it can get too difficult at times. But the game was so charming that I came out with a smile.

no, it's not my first game. that would be Awe VS Ozzy, which is a little community joke game thing that i made... a year ago? sheesh, time sure flies fast.
this also isn't my most recent game either! that honor would go to Mechanical Funnies. i worked on the first 2 levels of this game in a week for a game jam before i made that game, and then worked on it on and off for 2 months, until i got burned out.
thank you for your kind words on the game! i love Simowl Belmont as a nickname for the Owl Adventurer. i'm aware the combat really isn't the best, but i'm glad that it's balanced enough to not bother you too much.

i finished playing it! even though it was short, i had a pretty fun time with it. the Kine and Rick parts were cute and it was nice to see Prince Fluff in gameboy form.
i got a bit stumped near the end, but i eventually finished the game. it's a cute game, i loved it!

Mechanical Funnies v 1.0.1 is up! it features a title screen, the secret skill being buffed slightly and some more dialogue to trigger, alongside ascending a glitch into More Dialog.
