Veteran student who has the knowl that is needed to answer questions and stuff like that.
I'm making a game too, but since I am not an artist, musician, programmer, or writer, it's going extremely slowly. You can find it over there->
I also joined in a handful of RMN's events, here's some of the games I got:
Click here for crappy rpgmaker horror memes that i made during rmn events that were too short to make anything for

RPGMAKER GAMES WATCHED

RPGMAKER GAMES UNFINISHED
See my third playlist. AFTER CLICKING, SCROLL DOWN
Personal notes:
- DO NOT use nested loops in RPGMaker
- DO NOT use centered origin show picture, it cannot be removed unless it goes back to topleft corner origin
- F9 for debug menu
- My biggest trip up is mapping. I really have no idea whatsoever when it comes to making maps. Which means I need to get a good map idea before I can make something even remotely playable.

Final Fantasy VI Abridged
i remember watching one on flash back in the day. "Final Fantasy Trilogy" and it was filled with crude **** for kids plus a bunch of monty python references but it was pretty funny.
Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
workin on My first RPGmaker Game, it will be great. I'll be avoiding autogenerated dungeons and sample maps... noticed those were very popular with the newbies
Valkyrie Stories - Escallion Rising
high production values on an extremely small demo. Over half the demo is cutscenes. Gameplay is limited to a forest and one section of a cave (couldn't get far into the cave.) But the visuals are great to look at. There's just loads of these high-value demos that never get finished
The Arms of Reverie
short game demo consisting of a single dungeon and a small town afterwards. Better than your average first rpg's. No much plot exposition though, but it's a demo so whatevers. Go ahead and try it.
Dragon Lancer MV
UPDATE: I just finished the main questline. You're right, the game does get easier after grinding to level 25. Unfortunately, forgot to save after beating the final boss so looks like I'm gonna be loosing out on the postgame.

Cardiophobia
Hardcore horror game. To get the best endings you will need to avoid the 'scares' and keep yourself as calm as possible. This must be done throughout the entire game. I made too many mistakes early on and ran out of medicine to keep going, leaving me no choice but to go for the worst ending (forgetful). Some of the scares are clearly avoidable, but if you're out of meds like I am you wont be able to get past some of the 'mandatory' scares (imagine my surprise when the main character drops dead from a random knocking sound or apparently nothing at all (he blacks out before the scare occurs.) If I want to keep playing, I'd have to go all the way back to the beginning of the game. I would need a pen and paper to write down all the scares and try to avoid as many of them as possible. Personally, I HATE having to use pen and paper to play an RPG game. This game is pretty well made, but I think the difficulty was maybe too high, and you can easily end up in an 'unwinnable' situation.
