Do you guys decide the titles of your games thinking how easy it will be to Google it? I do.

I put together whatever words sound interesting together and could possibly mean something, anything

That's one of the things I consider, for sure. I google the title and make sure it's not something else already. Also trying to make sure you can spell it. That it rolls off the tongue, sounds nice, seems unique, and then that it describes the game in the way you want it to.

Wine & Roses, Visions & Voices, Greenlands.... ..... no, no I do not.
If I ever made some kind of serious game I would. Cashmere summed up what I'd look for in a title. However I'm real bad at coming up with any titles so I usually end up with something that isn't easily googleable.
All mine are happy accidents tbh, but I did do that for my username and I'm basically the entire first results page now
I just googled mine which i made up on a whim when I published the file. It works.
Cool : )

You're magical to me.

I'm happy if I can just come up with a name I like XD

Luxaren Allure is super google-able, Weird and Unfortunate Things Are Happening slightly less so, but I'm still able to find people talking/LPing about it (on the off chance that that happens).

They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

I don't, but I also dislike generic single plain word names of games and films.
Of course not. No one must know about my shame…

But on a more serious note, no, it’s not something that I think about that much when it comes to picking a title. As long as I like it and it fits the overall setting and it’s easy for someone to pronounce and all that jazz, then it’s all good in the hood.

I did for Dystopian Zombies! Instant results!

Infection not so much...cause' you can get some weird stuff googling 'infection' by itself.
Flatwoods... Hazmat... Shooty and the Catfish...

That'll be a no from me dawg.
I'm mostly concerned about google searches that will show something else.

I wanted to call my new game THERAPIST.
But... I guess I'll just add a second title.

Like: THERAPIST: life manager.

...Yeah, I posted mine as a silly example but, ultimately - and I've learned this the hard way - but choosing a game title should be like choosing a band name: you'll want something that's immediately recognizable, easy to remember and not already taken.

Otherwise, you'll get situations like Demon Legacy, being confused with the 2014 horror movie Demon Legacy/Haunting at Foster Cabin or Phantom Legacy being confused with Phantom Screens, Legacy Door. A company that specializes in screen doors for summer homes.

Choosing a good title for your game should be fairly distinct, in order to draw in your desired audience more quickly. I think Marvel Brothel and Beautiful Escape Dungeoneer were pretty okay.

What about incorporating the main character’s name into the title (unless he doesn’t have one by default and you just get to name him whatever you want), something like “Life Sessions With Dr. McKay”, or something like that.
