Glacia has seen many iterations since I uploaded the first download on 04/14/2009. I have garnered 119080 page views, 82 subscribers, and 5953 total downloads, which is awesome. The downside to having such a long version history of the project is that reviews and feedback I received six years ago will have little bearing when REDUX is released in about a month of so. Also with the current gamepage I would be ineligible for Misaos.


So the question is should I make a new game page for new reviews/Misaos or keep the current game page and build on the stats?

I looked around for about 2 hours today looking for some black/brown skinned character sets. Tried a character generator and had no luck there. If anyone has a lead they can link me I would appreciate.

HELP! Adding a Party Command in battle. [SCRIPTING] [RMVX]

One of the last hurdles that I'm having a really hard time tackling myself is how the hell I'm going to add an option to switch party members mid battle.

Obviously a seamless addition to the battle menu would be nice. However at this point I'd settle for calling up with a script command via events or an item useage.

I am using a spin battle menu with KGC's large party script. I have tried adding some vocab, on line 310 of the spin battle.

When I enable party in battle in the KGC large party Script I get this error.


I got past the previous error by adding the line "set.push()Vocab::party, "icon", Zii::PARTY, true" to line 310 and now I'm getting this new error.


Anyone have any insight they can share to point me in a good direction or help me out with this.

Quick Script Question

So I am using this lag script (VX) and its great. However on some of my maps I am using a really big event that covers much of the screen. All I need to know is the call script command to event the script on and off in maps I want it on or not.

Balancing The Money

In the recent review Mr. Nemo did of my game Glacia. He states rightly so that the gold the player receives is way to high. While part of this was due to the lack of necessary things he had to buy. Some of it was due to the fact that monsters were dropping to much money.

So I was thinking of ways to balance how much money the player should get. I want them to receive enough that they wouldn't feel cheated. But couldn't become badasses without proper grinding. So how does everyone balance their money. Is there a ratio I could use. Or is this sadly something else I will have to endlessly play test.

Cameos

How tolerant are you guys to cameos in games. For example I have a battle arena in chapter two of my game and I was thinking after you were the grand champion. You could get the choice to fight Sora from kingdom hearts or link from Zelda or something along those lines. Just sort of as a bonus. I did not want to do this however if the general consensus was that this would be bad.

Blog Views

I don't know how realistic this is but I was looking at my blogs. And I realized that there is really no way of knowing if people looked at them other than if they comment. I was thinking that it would be beneficial to the game/blog maker if Rmn tracked blog views. Maybe Rmn could make it so only the game/blog maker could see this information. Just a humble idea I thought might be neat.
