Famitsu scores Final Fantasy XIII

Final Fantasy XIII has scored 39 out of 40 in its review in Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, widely regarded as the largest Japanese gaming publication.

The score of 39 puts it above Final Fantasy XI, IX, and VII - all of which scored 38. Final Fantasy VI and VIII scored 37.

The game will therefore score the same as Final Fantasy X - 39 - but less than Final Fantasy XII's impressive perfect 40 in 2006.

Famitsu reviews games out of 40, with each game tackled by a team of four different reviewers. The missing point can be blamed on "a story that stays linear until the midway point" and "lack of gimmicks during the middle of the game."

On the flip side, the reviewers also comment that "the story is substantial like no FF before it" and "battles based around changing characters' roles are fresh and highly strategic."

The reivew also warns fans that FF13 is a must play. "You'll be sorry if you don't play this!", one reviewer concludes.

Whats the worst thing you ever saw in high school?

Did you ever see another student be beaten so bad that they were hospitalized or did you ever see a student attack a teacher? Maybe it was you who got beat up or really badly hurt another classmate?

Or if you are still in school what's the worse thing you have seen?

When I was in high school one of the boys in the year below me was pushed off of the car park shelter and he broke his arm right in front of all of us. Was bloody painful for him. There was also this boy and before he was expelled he stabbed a girl in his year in the leg with a pen and blood was all over her trousers.

Man marries a videogame character ( Only in Japan)

I now pronounce you husband and what?!

In another sign that the world is about to collapse, multiple blogs are reporting that a fan of the Nintendo DS dating sim Love Plus (you know, the really creepy one) liked his virtual lady so much that he decided to marry her. For real.

Apparently, a Japanese gamer known as 'Sal9000' was officially wed to Nene Anegasaki, one of the game's three virtual girlfriends, in what must have been the weirdest ceremony in the history of ceremonies. We can only assume that Ms. Pac-Man was the maid of honor.

While the two aren't planning a honeymoon -- after all, one of them is a VIDEO GAME -- they did hold a small 'reception' in Japan for friends, family and the media, indicating that this is most likely little more than the looniest video game publicity stunt we've seen in some time. Check out this video recap by Boing Boing, complete with footage of the happy, er, couple:

Assassins Creed 2

The game picks up immediately after the events of Assassin's Creed with Desmond staring at cryptic messages on his bedroom wall. Desmond has synced with his ancestors so much, a "bleeding effect" has started to form, granting him the abilities of Altaïr. He escapes Abstergo with fellow assassin Lucy Stillman. They come to a nearby warehouse where Stillman reveals she and a new team have been working on a new device, the Animus 2.0. Desmond will view the memories of Ezio through the new machine.

The game takes place in late 14th century and early 15th century in Italy during the Renaissance, approximately 300 years after the first game took place. Like Assassin's Creed, characters based on historical figures will be present in the game including Leonardo da Vinci, Niccolò Machiavelli, Caterina Sforza, Lorenzo de' Medici, the Pazzi Family, and Pope Alexander VI. Unlike Altaïr, whose ring finger was amputated as a sign of the Creed, Ezio's has not; his finger bears a ring displaying his family crest. This was made possible by just one of numerous technical advances made by Leonardo Da Vinci for Ezio to use.

Just finished this game skipped a day of work and havent slept at all just to play this. Anyone else played it and if so what are your thoughts on the game?
