Hey everyone.

I just wanted to say thanks.
Apparently, it has been 5 years since my last post here, or so I think. I don't know what has changed since then, but boy has looking back at my history here brought back so many memories. Seeing all of my dumb responses and half-assed attempts at insults has brought be many laughs.
Me, being 11 at the time, had never been on a forum before. I didn't know what the rules were, how to read rules, how to follow rules, how the community worked, etc. My 11-year-old had no clue how to handle any of this kind of stuff, so I responded with all sorts of half-hearted insults. Telling people to kill themselves and then playing the victim card when I was being bullied, etc. I think I watched too much LeafyIsHere at the time.
I think one way to summarize this time in my leaf is with a little anecdote, and a rather embarrassing one at that.

I think I was 10 or 11 or 12 at the time, but i remember being really into Splatoon at the time, and i found this one artist (who i wont name) and i really liked their characters and art style. But one day, they uploaded a short comic revealing that two characters were gay.
Me, being the dumb prepubescent that i was, commented on it expressing my great disapproval of this, and in a very harsh way. Looking back, this was very stupid. I didn't know any better, and my responses to the replies to that comment I made, didn't help either.
I'm not sure if the comments still exist or not, but i have deleted my deviantart account. Wasn't doing much on there anyways. Wouldn't want some dumb moment like this to come back and haunt me.

Since then, I have grown and matured. I have many ups, and a whole lot of downs during my time after on the internet. I have learned to read the rules of the places I go to, what not to do, how not to respond to criticism, etc.
As for my presence on RMN... I dunno. I haven't been that motivated to make a game, despite having so many ideas for some.
But yeah, that's where I'm at today.

Again, I want to thank everyone here. I apologize if this broke some rules, but I just wanted to thank everybody here so much. Looking back on my 11-year old self has been a hilarious, out-of-body experience. Thank you so much for everything.

Then start by learning. Go read tutorials. Go mess with the engine. Go figure out just how much work it takes to do something. Then you might appreciate that people have their own things they want to do and that doing that is going to take time. If you're serious then invest some time in actually getting some skills for yourself instead of demanding people do your work for you. Learn something. If you have trouble with something ask about it, don't ask people to do it for you.

Very often people will ask for a specific one-off thing and others will respond because it doesn't take much out of their own time to do that, but demanding a big drain on peoples' time won't net you anything - and here's a very hard lesson to learn especially as a kid, but one that you will have to sooner or later (better sooner than later): people only have a set amount of time for them to live their lives. That time is easily wasted and best used to do the things they want to do with their lives. Usually it's invested in something that makes them happy - a hobby of some kind.

You will not find many people willing to give you that time for free, with no sure chance of any kind of payoff, to someone who doesn't take the time to read rules that they have done and abide by them as they have done. Why? Because once that time is gone it can NEVER be gotten back.

It doesn't matter if you're 11 or 111, people are not going to want to 'help' people who come off as spoiled little brats and don't understand the task they are asking of others to do on their behalf.

So go learn some things about the hobby into which you're wanting to take part of instead of expecting others to do that for you.

The problem is that your demands are unreasonable and show complete lack of regard for other people's time. Have you considered that we're developers, too? Have you considered that many of us had to work on games without teams? Have you considered that we are currently working on our own projects as we speak?

That's why many people here aren't willing to do work for nothing.

It's time you got out of your selfish fantasy and learned to compromise; work with the limitations you have.

So basically what your saying is that everyone on the site does not want to help me and only care about thier projects and don't care for people who DESPERATLY need help?
In other words, they don't care about me?
