EPLIPSWICH'S PROFILE

Just one of those who enjoys playing indie RPGs and looks out for really good-quality ones.

I'm also an unofficial game translator and have finished English translations of two top-quality Japanese RPG Maker RPGs: Seraphic Blue and Nocturne: Rebirth. Both games and their game pages can be accessed on the right of this profile.

Finally, I'm currently working on translating a visual novel called Aiyoku no Eustia :) I'm also eyeing on three future Japanese RPG Maker RPGs that I may plan to translate in order of priority once they're out and I've played them. The official and blog sites are as follows:

Seraphic Blue (English)

Don Miguel's RTP did the trick! Makes sense considering it's such an old game from that specific era. Thank you so much! Excited in getting into the game!

Good to hear! Front page link to RTP has also been updated to Don Miguel's RTP.

I'm not sure if anyone is reading this board anymore, but I tried to boot the game, but it complains that I haven't installed RTP, despite following the instructions here and doing just that. I have windows 10, so I wonder if that creates problems? Would love to play some old-school RPG Maker stuff, so that's why I'm still asking about this, instead of moving on! : O

Nice timing. Try running the game in Windows 7 or below compatibility mode?

Theia - The Crimson Eclipse

So, I'm at the point where I got all D-class atlas and all but 1 E-class atlas, the Oneiric Atlas which unlocks Arcana. Can anyone give me a hint as to where to get that? Is it related to a red chest?

EDIT: Nvm, just saw Firefly84's post on this lol. No wonder I couldn't find it.

EDIT2: Found a game-breaking crash bug. Using Nion's Gravity Break Level 1 causes the error "The file Spezzagravit * 2 cannot be opened" I think it's the naming convention. The file in the folder is called Spezzagravita 2, but I think in the RPG Maker 2003, it's called Spezzagravit * 2.

Most likely, it's due to the file name, whiose last letter is an Italian letter (the last "a"), not an English letter.

I sent Lollo a ton of screenshots detailing spelling mistakes, so it would be best if he made use of them first. If you wanted to proofread the improved version then, be my guest, since I probably didn't catch every careless mistake. However, if you started right now, you would only repeat most of my work.

Are you up for a less stressful round of proofreading in a few months? I'm sure that would be greatly appreciated. On the other hand, don't forget that we love you for translating Japanese games, which means most people wouldn't consider the elimination of a few remaining spelling mistakes the best use of your time. ;)

Glad to know that someone else is proofreading it :) That's what I'm hoping for most of all. Because this game deserves to be proofread to ensure that it's of the best quality.

I don't mind just playing through the improved version :)

Theia - The Crimson Eclipse

Hey,Lollo. So I've been playing this game, and I'm really enjoying it, especially the story, though as I'm sure you know, the translation is littered with mistakes.

As such, is it possible if I can help out in proofreading the translation? I once helped out in proofreading another Italian-to-English translated game, Pocket Quest (maybe you've heard of it before), and I think this game could really use proofreading as well.

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass

Wow, looks like your game is a big success on Steam. Will try it out when I have the time :)

Nocturne: Rebirth (English)

Is it possible defeat 3 rabbits? I will deal almost 8k damage for white rabbit but it still alive... how many hp they have?

They're designed to be impossible to defeat. I don't think anyone, not even the Japanese players, has defeated them :p

Lakria Legends

This isn't a bug, but likely more of an oversight. You see, about entering dark rooms, I find it easier to navigate in a dark room without the Lantern than with the Lantern. That's because when in a dark room without the Lantern, I can still barely see where I'm going. However, by turning on the Lantern, I only can see where I am in the circle light, but the background is now completely dark (I can't see anything in the background).

Might want to do something about that as it kind of defeats the purpose of using the Lantern in the dark when I can just navigate in the dark without it (since I can still see in the dark without it). My advice would be either one of these options:

1) You make the room completely dark as well with the Lantern turned off
2) You make the room such that I can still see a bit in the darkness even with the Lantern turned on (same as when the Lantern is turned off)
3) You make the circle light's range larger.

Seraphic Blue (English)

Yeah, well, it'll be quite tedious tbh. The new functions of the Altered version change the alignment of the story scripts, so I'll mostly have to copy and paste line by line. There's also a lot of text explaining the new mechanics. And new NPC dialogues too! ~ ~

Plus, I'm busy with another translation project right now (it's a visual novel btw ;)), so I don't know when or even if I'll ever get back into it. We'll see.
