Al Jolson "Brother, can you spare a dime" : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4F4yT0KAMyo
A classic song that is filled with both wistfulness of a better days ahead,in other words Hope. It also displays the attitude of the effect of building a shattered dream. Literally the anthem to the great depression, so Hope and Dreams have a large part of any of its music.

Free RPG Engines?

Oh really? I was under the impression that ASCII was at a state of bankruptcy, but maybe that is just me.

Last second edit: Oh, so when enterbrain got involved, they took the entire franchise with them. But something still reeks about RM2k. It was only a ASCII property in 2001, so what happened? Did it trade hands or something?

AH! I loved that dragon heart game. It was a really neat game for its time.

Rpg maker Visual Sprite Novels

Hmm... But what if you only used sprites and had the pictures to create a more fanciful effect? I know in VX you can create zoom effects with some basic coding, so you could get over the special action effects if you needed to.

Okay, here it comes: Has anybody seen this game. I "Believe" its title was Dark Skies. I know it was made by a guy called "A little mean dude". It was was a ... a... CRAP. I can not remember what site it was, but this demo was one of its exclusive. Grawh! It was RPG something, but it was released on Gamingw. The story goes that you are the son of a family of professional murderers and general villains that historically helped start this academy called Dark Skies in another definition. You believe that your missing father owns and acquired his fortune by running a ice cream factory. It also had a RTP grim reaper as the family butler and it finishes up with some Bard in the third act. I always wanted to see the fourth act, but I can not find it now. Oh, and it was a RM2k game. Good luck!

Where will you be in 10 years? (Discussion)

Yeah.... You see I am technically a prince already, so actually saying that I want to become the wasteland king would be useless, as I would be a lord of the wastes already, so I would fulfill my dream of becoming a knight instead.

Rpg maker Visual Sprite Novels

Really? I think that would be interesting.
Still, how do you think that would affect the actual story. Do you think the two styles can work together in unity?

Rpg maker Visual Sprite Novels

Pictures are fine and are a classic example of visual novels, but with sprites you could have the characters act out their respective role. Look at "Maranda" if you will. It was a perfect example of a visual novel told through sprites, where you could see the characters actually convey the story with their movement and other sprite based actions.
On the other hand, pictures are the standard for most visual novels, like Tsukihime or Chaos;Head. So tell me then, is it wrong for us to make visual novels exclusively using sprites as actors? Or would it seem more natural for us to use pictures instead?

As one of my pet projects is a TV(Of a sort, anyways. I'm not a real fan of actual TV, seeing as you rarely chose the right channel and anything. Add this to the fact that you will be able to chose episodes, its more like Tivo on crack). I want to hear your opinion: What do you think about visual novels made in rpg maker, using either pictures or the classic sprites?
