The Last Pirate Queen

I'm so glad you liked it a lot Linkis! Your comment made me super super happy. Chapter 2 has unfortunately been delayed somewhat due to limited time and energy, but I'm hoping to get a lot of progress done in the next few weeks! I won't say it'll get released this year, but I'm holding out to get a solid bug-free release of the updated Chapter 1 (final version) and Chapter 2 together in one package by the end of January. So you'll have to wait a bit, but hopefully not toooo long.

Hiya!

Haha! Thanks for the warm welcome, guys. I'll be sure to try and contribute some to the community during my time here!

The Last Pirate Queen

The Save Point v2 is a delicate and still unbalanced object. They're still working out the bugs with it.

You'll want to check the scattered papers next to the desk in his bedroom. I'll see if I can find a way to make that a bit more obvious.

Hiya!

This is where I'm supposed to sell myself, isn't it? Tell everyone how great I am, how excited I am to be here, and how much I'm working on my little game.

Welp, here's a bit about me: I've been dabbling in RM since I got a hold of a copy of 2k about a decade ago. I played around with it for a few years, making tiny, bad games for my friends, and then quit for a while. Recently got back into it with a copy of VXA. Now with a good bit more experience and skill under my belt I'm ready to actually show my game off to people outside my immediate group of friends. I'm a career artist and a hobbyist writer, so I feel those should translate and least a little bit to making games. We'll see.

I've been lurking for a while but you guys scared me I hope I have a wonderful time here!

In the desert area where the professor wants help finding artifacts...He always says heres a bonus...but unless I missed it, you never see what the bonus is. Also if you go to the far upper left you can walk off into the brown water area.

The bonus is extra gold (you get 250 for 4+ artifacts, and 150 for 3). I didn't know about that passability issue, though - I'll go take care of it. Thanks for the report, and hope you're enjoying the game, despite those bugs!

If you've been hungering for a solid RPG, TLPQ comes with my recommendation. It has well written dialogue, compelling characters, interesting dungeon design and kept my interest until the end of the demo.

Thanks for the kind review, Ocedic!

Are You An “Item Hoarder?”

I am most definitely guilty of item hoarding.

It's half the reason I have such a hard time with roguelikes and other games that limit your inventory. I have a very bad habit of "well this might be useful later!" and carry around all the ingredients for poisons and potions as well as the respective poisons and potions even though I don't have Herbalism as a skill. I end up throwing away weapons before even considering these craftables-I-don't-ever-use, and I'm not sure why.

And as much as that is my fault for hoarding, I also really dislike having to inventory manage. It breaks immersion for me in the middle of a dungeon to have to go into the inventory screen and choose a half-dozen things to throw away because I want to pick up this really awesome armor that just dropped. What hero in their right mind would stop and start pulling things out of their bag to lighten the load a bit in the middle of a dungeon?

So, when confronted with a limited inventory, I really like having the ability to have a stash or something similar. I'm more than willing to go out in the field with a near-empty inventory, but it's the concept of "what if X happens" that keeps me wary of just selling or destroying everything. I've lost my healer in a storyline event enough times that I really don't want to risk being without that last resort.
