Wow! Very impressed that this level of quality was made within one month. I was very moved by the story. Good lore & world building. Not to mention the beautiful art & music! Props to the writing. Interesting leveling system.
All in all, congrats on your fantastic game! <3
Oh no, this was made on and off over the course of a year! Sorry for the confusion, but thank you for your praise! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Very nice game, I liked it. I found the second ending the best at first but the 4th ending managed to hold its own. All the originality was very nice too, much appreciated. Wish you best of luck with your possible future projects.

The game is fine except the one enemy encounter featuring tank boi and cradle. This is a nightmare, it needs to go die, rot in hell, disappear, be incinerated, doomed and be sealed into outer space dimensions to never, ever ever ever ever again return.
Ah, I'm sorry for the balancing issues in one of the encounters! I'm making an update to fix some of the bugs and balancing issues people have pointed out - I'm assuming "tank boi and cradle" is terry (the blue ghost with a shield) and carole (purple healer ghost)? If so, thank you for informing me - if there's any other ridiculous difficulty spikes, let me know :). And I'm happy that you enjoyed the endings, thank you for playing!

Seriously tho, Grimm's Hollow is a fantastic game that truly shows off,
not only the technical, but the incredible creative prowess that rpgmaker2003
still has to offer, almost 20 years after it's initial release.
If you're reading this, this is a must play for 2019. definitely check this one out!
Fantastic work GH! ♥ Please make more games!
AAAAA , thank you so much for your lengthy review LordBlueRouge!♥ I'm glad that you enjoyed it so much and thank you for playing, it was wonderful to have you beta test!

Been following this project for quite some time, it blows my mind how much more polished people are managing to make UIs in 2K3 than people have been able to do with later engines despite them having better tools.
Thank you visitorsfromdreams! For RPG Maker, I think it's because managing UI via code in the later versions might be more difficult to handle, which is why many resort to using plugins for their menus. In 2003, the picture-based event system means you can't create a menu without elaborately planning and creating a mockup beforehand (or you could, but you would cause yourself much frustration) and you're forced to think about your visuals first.

I think I may have been following this game on Tumblr! Super nice to see it on this site too, the visuals look top notch. And 2k3 is always a plus.
