WTF??? This place is literally a 15 MIN WALK FROM WHERE I LIVE!!! I can't believe the fucking police would charge inside the station and fucking CHASE an UNARMED guy and REPEATEDLY BEAT HIM!!! And they fucking shot a girl's eye and made one of her eye permanently blind!!
Between turning a blind eye to the white-shirted gangs fighting the protesters to pretending to be one of the protesters by wearing all-black, I don't know how fucking low they're willing to get! Fuck them!! uggggggh

It's a tragedy and you can either become a monitored citizen of china or leave. Honestly, I can't imagine an international intervention other than war, which would stop the dragon from committing travesties.

I think no Hong Kongers have been more angry than yesterday. People have been ballistic and posting what I've just shared. The guy who fell to his death, as bad as it sounds - an accident. But making someone blind? Intentional!

How very edgy, but the stakes are a lot higher for both sides than just electoral reform.
yes, and china knows that. which is why they won't risk international intervention by starting military action. the same thing will happen what always happens - the protests will be allowed to fizzle out, a handful of cops will get light sentences for violence towards protesters and china will make zero political concessions towards hong kong.

Yeah it is. I think the only "truly" "good" thing that came out of all this is that...I didn't expect certain people to ask how I'm doing!
Like, a few days ago, one of my "clients" when I was their tour guide suddenly asked me if I'm safe and one of my friends from League who I rarely (but starting to talk to again) reached out to me and asked the same too!
