Would be neat if it was a GIF..

update: i hate trees

~On a more serious note, I suggest you observe how the pros did it. Take a look at how they built their trees. How they made a couple of green-ish pixels look like leaves on branches. I mean, direct observation and analyses is always better than picking up another tutorial about making trees and stuff.

Fame? Makerscore? Misao? Nah bro, I gam mak for the free cookies... What?! No cookies?! B-B-But... it says so on the brochure that... we... get... cookies... and...

<-- "Waaaaaaahh!! ButIwannacookie!!"

Humph..
I'll make my own game-making hobbyists' site; with free cookies -- free cookies for everyone!!

Nothing I hate more than games with awesome title screens and RTP-looking graphics.

Well that was like an arrow straight to my face..
But really, if I could make some epicly awesome, jaw-dropping graphics myself, then I would.

I get asked often about how I can keep my temper and control myself with ease. I reply: "I have a 20kbps net connection, 'nuff said."

Keep temper? What is this thing of which you speak? Temper is not to be kept.

It's because I've yet to meet a person worthy of my wrath :3

I hope soulkeeper can graduate sometime soon. It's possible, it makes you do something with your waiting time, but it is more pleasant to have it nice and easy.

Hopefully sometime in the foreseeable future, this will happen..

Back in the dial-up era, I used to sketch on post-it notes as I'd wait for pictures, .MOD files, and .mpeg movie clips to download.

The dial-up era was actually faster, at 100 kbps average. Granted, that the number of users then was much much lower than right now.

I honestly believe I'm patient for the exact same reason haha!

Now if everyone just went through this, the world will be a much better place XD

"Patience... Patience... It'll load, I tell ye... No need to put your fist through the screen... That's it, keep waiting... Just a wee bit more..."

Kyla> The most ping I had was 9k, while playing Dota2 in a local server. Though honestly I'd rather not aim for setting a world record on highest ping :3

Crap. So I kind of realized again I'm one of those people who make those long intros...

"1000 years ago a great evil blah blah play the prequel instead blah blah and now people are going missing..."

Sounds like every Final Fantasy intro ever...

And I guess they already pointed it out, but just to re-iterate: Make it as engaging as possible. It should also feel important to the player, something that will make them want to know more, and not flee in fright. Subtlety is a tactic that is hard to successfully utilise, but provides loads of awesomeness when it is.

I think the article linked by slashphoenix hits all the important aspects of this subject so...

So as of today, I am now 3 years away from hitting the big 3-0. Scary thought.

Oh. Oh? Ohhhhh... I thought you were playing a game with someone and you've been on the losing side (with three-nil score). But 3 years just didn't make any sense...

Well, happy life anniversary! And biological age doesn't matter as much as perceived age. So long as you believe you're young, you will be young for as long as you want :3

I just found out that Enterbrain has given away a free resource pack via mail two weeks ago... Awesome. Small, but still awesome.

^^ Ooh, it says here: 'Contributions from over 20 talented individuals' :3 ^^

Edit: Aw, dang I forgot my steam password -.-;

Thank you RMN for finally accepting my game after many attempts!

Yeah, more people seem to have less and less humility and patience.
It's nice to know you're not one of them. Good luck on your project!
