Lets talk about Yokai Watch

So recently the 2nd yokai watch game came out, and I still honestly don't see the hate for this game series. Its nothing I repeat NOTHING, like pokemon, just because you go around collecting weird spirit like things doesn't make it a pokemon rip off, hell by that logic, then your calling Shin Megami Tensei games (which came before pokemon) a ripoff of pokemon. But anyway I digress, I personally love these games, and the 2nd one from what I've played so far is really good. A lot of people complain that the battle system lacks depth, well they didn't play long enough to use the model zero watch in 2, or even thought about what nature to make your yokai or unity bonuses. I get that it can get repetitive but when it comes down to boss fights it excels. The online stuff is cool and all, but I haven't managed to find anyone to battle yet, maybe that's because its a fresh new game and haven't had time for people to get online. The story in the first one was a mess and really wasn't good at all, but the 2nd one has a promising story so far..

Anyway what's your opinion on this little game series that for some reason gets no love except from the fans?

Dealing with Social Anxiety, and I think I'm Neurotic

So one problem I've had my entire life is Social Anxiety, it may not seem like it on the internet, but really the internet is different, from real life. How I even managed to make the friends that I do have, is beyond me. Social Anxiety has ruined many possible friendships for me, and even relationships. And what's not helping is I think I'm Neurotic or something.
Most of my life, I have had bad mood swings, one second I'm happy, the next I'm so angry I want to punch a hole in the wall, the very next after that I'm depressed and feel like I'm garbage, and can't seem to be good enough for anyone, no matter how hard I try, I was just at my friends house earlier for a board game session, most of the time, I wished I wouldn't have come or get picked up early.
I had a massive, and I mean massive loss of self worth in myself today, despite making everyone laugh, I still feel like I'm not worth anything what so ever. Like they secretly hate me or something deep down inside.
I constantly have fear that something bad will happen in any situation, like the stupidest feeling like, a killer can come in my house at any time and kill me in my sleep, or a roller coaster will crash while I ride it specifically, stuff like that. Or getting fired from first job on my first day.

Any one have any tips for either of these or something like how to deal with them, Social Anxiety ruins plenty of opportunities for me, and possibly being Neurotic, isn't fun at all.

The Summer Video game challenge!

Every summer, I have myself a little challenge. A challenge where I beat a certain amount of games in three (two if your still in high-school) months. I made this back in high-school to give myself something to do over summer till school started back in august, and to clear off a lot of the games that have been sitting on my shelf for a while, or to beat any new games I get that way they don't go to the shelf in purgatory. And I may be out now, but I still take this challenge every year anyway, though this year I may be set back to to complications. I do enforce a few rules. I have the rules below for anyone who wants to take this challenge themselves.

1. No games you beaten before, unless theirs different ways to re play them or if its a game you haven't beaten in a while. Say like you want to play through Fallout 3, but you beat it once, you can play through it again with a different character and build and that would count.

2. Any game, any console, just bought, had for a while. Basically any game in existence. Also you can beat any game that you started but stopped playing. You don't have to always start from the beginning of the game.

3. Once you pick or start a game, you cannot drop out of any game. Because of this, its not wise to pick a huge game that would take 40 hours to beat. But if you feel up for it your more than free to. Also the game has to be at least beatable, if you pick a simulation game like the sims, or a game that never ends say like Animal Crossing. You can't drop out of it, therefore you put yourself in a loop unless you you come up with ways that you consider beating it. Say like earning a million bells in AC, or achieving a life goal in sims.

Anyway that's the rules, if you would like to join along go for it. This year I'm planning to finish 8 games. But you can set your own amount of games you want to beat. This isn't meant to be stressful its meant to be fun. And to give those games that you may have sitting on your shelf beaten. If anyone wants to see my planned list for this year its.

1. Doom (2016) (Beaten)
2. Fallout 4
3. Revelations 2
4. Fantasy Life
5. Soul Hackers or IV
6. Castle Oblivion original
7. Oracle of Ages
8. Wind Waker

[RMVX ACE] Need a mapper. (Closed)

I have a project in mind, a project that I have been wanting to make for years, and was never able to do so. I have the story, characters, all planned out. All I need is a mapper. I was never able to make maps well, and it doesn't help that I have to use a laptop mouse to even make maps in the first place. Unless its stuff like 8bit chip sets, like the dragon warrior stuff, I can manage that. But stuff like rpg maker vx ace's map sets, I just can't seem to make anything worth talking about. I'll handle the events on the maps, and every thing in the data base. I just need someone to help make maps. If your interested post below or pm me on here. I'm not giving the game title or story away on this post, I want the game to be a mystery till Its finished that way no spoilers or things will be revealed early. I'm working hard on the story. And that's my main goal, to have a story that I think people will like be told but I don't want ugly maps to ruin it. Thanks again!

You have a go to? (A thing that you go to in times of need)

Okay lets not be personal about things. But have a conversation about things we go to if were in a bad time. For me its obvious, video games. Especially Pokemon Soul Silver the game came out during a moment in my life where everything came down on top of me, a ton of bullshit that I keep behind me and never look back to. (Again no personal things here, unless you want to go personal feel free to) Soul Silver got me through it all. I tell you, if I didn't have soul silver, I probably would have done something stupid to myself... Anyway, have that go to thing in your life. A thing that either helped you through a bad moment or even possibly saved your life?

Lets talk about the New 3DS/ 3DS/DS Family

I recently upgraded my little original 2011 model 3DS to a New 3DS XL, I figured an upgrade wouldn't hurt. Some people are saying it isn't worth the 200 bucks, and I can see where there getting at, a little but I personally think it was money well spent.

I love the face tracking 3D, it is fantastic! Makes me want to go back through my collection and play some games the way they were meant to be played. The original 3D was headache inducing. So far I haven't had any headaches, using 3D on this system, but then again I don't keep it on all the time.

I also love the fact that there adding snes games to the eshop now. I've always wanted a portable snes, but didn't want to carry snes cartridges to play on a third party system. They play really well, I thought the control would be weird because of being so used to the original controller. But it was surprisngly smooth, I didn't have a problem with control at all.

Some faults with the system, its a chore to open the back to switch sd cards, when I did the system transfer, I went to open the back with the screwdriver and realized the screws weren't even moving I thought I striped the screws on it and raged. I looked a guide and realized that you pop it off with the stylus (which no one told me about), thank god I put a 32gb card in there so I will never have to open it again. The c stick is a little awkward it doesn't even move, it feels like an eraser. I thought it would at least move some but no.

Also never played Xenoblade Chronicles till I bought the system, an so far I love it! I'm not even out of colony 9 yet, I've mostly did some grinding and quests so far but the battle system is so much fun! My only problem is that the AI for the other party members is dumb I mean it gets some things right like using topple moves on enemies when its time, but most of the times from what I can tell it seems pretty dumb. But so far I really love it. Yeah I know its better on wii but I recently bought the New N3DS, and I figured why not, might as well, and you know how hard it is to find for the wii?.

Overall I really love this system quite a bit!

What system do you own, what's your opinion on the 3DS family in general? Any games that you really like to play and talk about? Let's start a thread! (unless there is already a thread like this on here then we'll go to that thread instead)

SMBX Graphics request

So I'm currently working on a smbx project, after putting many rpg attempts on a hiatus for a long while. And I have a certain level in mind, a level centered around the 1950's style, stuff like greaser koopas, goombas, etc. If anyone on here makes smbx graphics, can anyone make something like that for me? Yes Full credit will be given. I would do this myself, but I don't know how the whole smbx spiriting thing works. Thanks

Shin Megami Tensei Thread

(First if theirs already a forum about this on here sorry!)

Anyway, I love me some Shin Megami Tensei grant it, I have only played 2 games out of the series (Soul Hackers and 4) but I still really like it. Anyway, if you are a long time fan care to point a new fan which games he should get if he wants to enjoy the series even more?

Also discuss your favorite game in the series, or discuss favorite demons etc.

[RM2K3] Can anyone offer any tips on how to get started making graphics?

So I really want to make an game, and really make it my own with my own custom character and over world graphics. But 1) I don't know of any program that is good for making sprites. And 2) I don't know where and how to get started..

Can anyone help me or give me some pointers on where and how to get started?

What causes us to stop making our projects?

So, how many people here has tried there damnest to make a game? But just utterly lost inspiration or ran into a brick wall with something that you can't seem to figure out? Well that has been me so many times I can't even count that high. (By the way I can count to 10 I'm such a big kid!) Anyway, jokes aside. I have started multiple projects in multiple different engines, such as SMBX, and RPG maker 2000 all the way to mv. While I know how to make a game, and know these engines decently well (Except MV I'm still tinkering with that one a little) I just can't find the inspiration or desire to finish a game, maybe its just sloppy planning or something else. Oh well time for a discussion!

(Also if this is already a topic on here sorry....yeah I have nothing)
