How do you motivate yourself?
I’ve been lacking motivation to work on my project lately. It’s not that I don’t know what to do with it; I just can’t bring myself to work on it at the moment.
I’m sure this happens to most developers here, we are human after all. So I must ask; How do you keep yourselves motivated to keep working on a project even if you don’t feel like it.

The pre battle menu escape: Why doesn’t it work?
I’m sure this has come up before but I’m couldn’t be bothered to shift though these formes, so I’ll ask nicely.
As many of you are familiar, with RPG2k3 when using the Alternate or Gage battle type a menu pops up at the start of the fight with the “Fight, Auto-battle and Escape” commands. And escape is always greyed out. And it not because “Escaping is disabled” because having escape in the normal menu commands works fine.
I’ve gone all though the database and I have no Idea how to fix this. What am I missing?

As grammar is not my strong suet, I am advertising for the aid of someone for basic spelling and punctuation for my game Eternal:

The only requirement is that you can write and spell better than me (not difficult I assure you) and that you can do the work relatively quickly (though I wouldn’t stress to much about that), although if you have ever worked on a team before that would be appreciated.
If anyone is interested just let me know.

13 ghosts = one grate game idea.
Does anyone remember that show “The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo”?
It was a polarizing series I know, but the premise of re-capturing 13 daemons that the hero realised onto the world, now that was good, that had potential.
I was thinking of making a game with a similar premise, only you know good; the hero is tricked into opening a box that unlashes 13 evil forces, each the embodiment of a human on a vice or fear, and has to re-seal the back into the box before they destroy the world. Think “Shadow of the Colossus” without climbing on giant monsters.
Because you don’t know where these things are when you start the game you’ll have to read newspapers and listen to news reports and the like for paranormal activity that might indicate a ghost. Then you can travel there and investigate things further to locate the daemon. You’ll also be given a pendent or artefact or something that reacts to the daemons presence to help narrow down your search.
It would probably be an adventure game or an adventure/RPG but without levels or random encounters.
I’m not sure of the area you have to find the ghost in yet, but it would have to be large enough to provide some variety but small enough that travailing all over the place isn’t questionable.
Some ideas:
Japan: Not likely though since Japan has been done to death and it’s not that small.
Fictional European country: because I could design the place however I wanted.
New York or any large metropolitan city: The most likely choice.
This would all be in modern-ish times to where transport and infomasion is readily available.
So what do you think?

Hay I'm new to the forums here...
So I have an idea for an area of a dungeon where a large’ish room slowly fills up with water, first knee deep, than waist, than neck ect. until you esacpe or it rises over the PC head and then you drown.
Now my question... can I actually do this?
(P.s. I'm using 2003 as well.)
