Is this illegal?
I am taking a 3d animation course at school. The school owns a liscense for their 3ds max and it is distributed throughout the network. HOWEVER, our teacher wanted students to be able to work at home, and has been handing out cracked versions of the program with a keygen. That should still be VERY illegal, should it not?
May Long Weekend Plans

I am going to my Step-Grandmothers house, and all of my step family will be there (vary large family with LOTS of "step" in it). There will be gokarts and atvs, and they live out in the middle of nowhere, so there is lots of ground that we can cover :)

[NEED INPUT] I'm writing a guide
Well, I wasn't sure, but I decided this probably belonged here.
So, I'm writing a beginners guide for RPG making. I have already put together a lot of stuff, but I need suggestions. What do you think should be covered in the guide? Any tips that you would tell a beginner? Anyways, anything you can think of, please post it below so I can include it.

Basically all I want to know is, what is it? Also, I forget who it was, but I saw a new member as part of the staff. Who was it, anyone know? And what do they do? I only ask because they had a small amount of posts, and were staff that I had never seen before. Anyways.
How do you get out of bed in the morning?
Basic topic, do you find it hard getting out of bed in the morning? How do you manage?
Me, I find it hard to get up when there is no motivation involved, like on school days. If there is something I am doing very early in the morning, I find I can easily get out of bed.
My technique for getting up is basically just realizing I can just jump out of bed, and then doing just that.

Custom Title Difficulties
So, is this a sitewide error, or is it just my profile?
I have been trying for quite some time to change my custom title, but it just won't go. It tells me my profile jhas been successfully updated, but the custom title remains the same. Any ideas?

The "Here's an idea" thread
Well, I thought I would make a thread that may get some posting going again here on the forums, I like to call it the "Here's and Idea" thread. So, here is how it works:
If you have an idea that you think would be really cool to see in an rpg, but you either don't want to do it youself, don't know HOW to do it yourslef, or just wanted to share it with others, you post it in here. By doing this, not only are you expressing some ideas, but you are potentially helping other game makers by giving them ideas. So, here are some of mine:
-A complete alchemy system, where TONS of things can be combined.
-A prefix/suffix system for weapons and armor, etc. Basically, certain items can be enchanted with powers, and by combining them ,you end up with a different name for the item, and it has differenjt prefixes and suffixes.
-Better dialogue systems which somehow incorporate you talking with the npc's, maybe something like morrowind and oblivion do.
So, just go ahead and post ANY ideas you may have for people to use, let's get this thread going.

Some Titles and Game Overs
Well, I was bored, so I decided to make some images. I made up a few title screens and game over screens, and I thought I would post thejm for users to use at will. They really aren't much, but if you want, go ahead and slap your game name on them, and there you have a working title screen. Also, the game over screens are really boring. I couldn't think of what to do for them...
NOTE: ALL OF THESE RESOURCES ARE IN VX FORMAT.
If you want them in any other rpg maker, you will simply need to size them, and possibly change the colour settings.
TITLES:
A sword, in both a shadowy background, and a light cloudy one.
How about a nicely lit up sky...
OR a dark blood moon?
Or something very basic

VX Questions
Hey, so, I just bought VX, and I have been wondering about a few things already:
1. How do you change your system set, title screen, tile set etc. without directly editing them in your rtp or game folder? Or is there no other way?
2. The small little test maps I have made so far seem to often lagg when the screen starts scrolling, is anyone else having this problem? Is there a way to fix it?
3. Does anyone know where to get good SFX for rpg games? (lol, just a general question)
