I might recommend altering the timing on the frames -- could be as simple as reducing the fps of the the "bolt/explode" part a bit (leaving the buildup of the "bubble" thing the same), so it feels more "instant". Would give it a bit more impact!

Was browsing this when the kid walked in and said "Dad has a skeleton game on the computer!". Thus, Hero's Realm is now a skeleton game.

this is nerd shit but the shadows on the upper tiles should be 1 tile higher to align where the shadows would be. the shadows near the lever would potentially be higher as well or whatever unit higher the elevation is from the water https://i.imgur.com/Wy35A62.png
You are totally right. This was something I noticed almost as soon as I posted the screenshot. I made a couple edits to the map afterwards to hopefully communicate things a bit better.
And trust me, the nerd shit is very important to me.
