I have a shocking confession to make
WIN SOME // LOSE SOME - What game did you think would suck was actually awesome, and vice versa?
author=Pizzapiemunchmaybe you should try playing the game next time
The best characters truly are bloodthirsty psychopaths whom you're supposed to think are perfectly justified in wanting to slaughter children because of their race.
Oh, I have. I've played the game where an insane racist relentlessly trying to slaughter a child is considered more sympathetic than the child she is trying to butcher. I've played the game that considers the monsters murdering humans by accident to make the monsters sympathetic. I've played the game that switches the player and the enemy's place simply to display that the monsters are entitled to murder you even after offering you "mercy."
I've played the fucked-up half-assed Earthbound rip-off that only fucked-up people could possibly enjoy. It must truly be an inspiration to talentless plagiarizing RPG Maker users everywhere.

Seriously, are Undertale fans genuinely this delusional, or have they never actually played a good game with well-written characters?

UndertaleI played this like Darken, after the hyped died down. I figured it was just some internet sensation shit and I had it available through steam library sharing and some time to burn so I gave it a spin. Turns out it really worked for me and I loved it. I found it to be a neat unique experience and it hit all the things I was looking for in a game.
I'm genuinely sickened by the fact that people can consider that pile of hypocritical racist garbage appealing.
How much should one crank up the difficulty before it's too much? (Game difficulty balancing)
Lo and behold, a thread goes into delusional liars who've never played a game complaining about it and regurgitating the usual bullshit.
I wonder why anyone would ever want to make games with people like that.

The Eroticism of Challenge
Basing any of your design inspiration on Dark Souls is a great way to make a garbage game that a handful of people obsess about but almost everyone never plays because it's broken trash under the guise of "challenge."

you will kill your game if you put in an hour of dungeons with only one ability per character before the class system is unlocked, like FF5 and FF13 did. Or, heaven forbid, twelve hours, like FF6 and DQ3 did.
Aside from the fact that these four games are hugely successful, this sentence proves you haven't actually played any of them.
