Structure Mafia [Night 3]
[Poll] General: Need advice on how to handle a collection menu.
I recently finished playing (reading?) "Sound of Drop" which had a similar mechanic for its bad ends, so I figured I'd weigh in. Anyway, the VN had sort of obtuse naming patterns that, while they reflected the manner of death, were still abstract enough that they didn't feel bland, as in your #2 example. In Sound of Drop for example, the endings are named junk like "The Madness that Follows Indiscretion" (player makes a choice to trust someone they shouldn't) or "A Coward's End" (player ran away instead of facing danger) etc. The idea is that they serve as a vague hint, but are poetic enough where they don't completely devalue death when they're actually achieved.
An endings list also goes a long way towards making the player aware of endings they've seen/missed.

Yeah dudesoft you were actually the only living town that ever really suspected any of us, and what motivated us to put in the effort to hammer out Kloe. So I'd consider that pretty good.

I know I haven't been joining any mafia games lately, but I have been reading all, and new games starting right after I finish reading one just makes me not want to join them.
Maybe I'd join more often if they weren't back to back.
Agreed about back-to-back, but ahhhh, you should join! Even like 1/3 games or something. If you're reading the thread that's like 90% of the effort haha, and the rest is the fun part of jabbing your finger at people.

Also, in general, can we set like a cooldown time between games? I mean I'm obviously going to jump in if I can regardless of timing, but I don't think everyone's like that, and I'd rather play 1 game with 15 active players than 2 games with 12 players (with two lurkers and a modkill).

I'm game.
A little person just seals the deal. I'd like to be 80 years old or 8 years old. Whatever's more convenient as an NPC. 17th century headgear preferred.

We need to talk about the fan games here after what happened to the Metroid 2 Project
bob_esc and I thought about this when we were starting work on our SaGa clone, but then realized that getting a C+D would mean that anyone had actually cared about the game, which would therefore be a success in the first place.

I'm glad that in the three days it took to end this, all of the daykills were either IF or Kloe.
about the "miller" thing IF, we were actually worried a bit in scumchat that you'd be able to turn the tables on day 2 by scumhunting: you'd know that anyone who seemed to know that you were town had to be actual scum. Think you could've done some damage haha, especially if you had left something like a suspect list
I'm curious how SZandex knew piano was scum on the last night, he would've been the safest of us I think as he didn't have to join in the Kloe hammering. Or maybe he just picked at random w/e
