Final Fantasy Mafia (Game Over)

I see zero reason not to lynch confirmed mafia, sorry.

Final Fantasy Mafia (Game Over)

@piano Last time I suggested something like this in infection mafia, scum-you piled me for it. I'll do you the courtesy of just noting it instead of piling you back, but let's deal with IF today and then work tomorrow tomorrow

@Liberty sounds convenient and all, but now scum knows not to target you, really not sure why people are claiming all over the place

I worked with Kloe in the ultima game and she was pretty good. Better than this, anyway. If Kloe is scum my bet is that scum is not working as a unit at all. This would match up with IF being pressed for time. I'm also tempted to go back to my Kloe=jester theory: claiming she was scum didn't work, so instead she goes full-throttle no-defense attack mode.

Final Fantasy Mafia (Game Over)

Alright, here's how things probably went down:
- Scum sees that IF is probably gonna get nightkilled and look for the guy who has the most vigilante-like item/ability
- Cave's got a buster sword, sounds like 1-shot nk power
- IF blocks Cave
- Rest of scum takes out Cave so he can't tell who he targeted

Kloe, IF's power is the key thing in that. People are roleclaiming all over the place, having someone around who can negate the scariest of those powers (nightkills aimed at mafia) is really helpful. How on earth did you convince IF to sign off on your roleclaim-as-scum plan?

@Gourd - my guess is he realizes he's pretty much screwed and gave up, similar to Marrend last game

Final Fantasy Mafia (Game Over)

@piano Sorry I meant it was probably cave silliness, I thought it was great at least. Thinking that scum misinterpreted it as the real thing is valid enough.

@Kloe ...You're seriously pulling your vote off of 100% scum to put it on /Liberty/? Like you think it's just as likely that she's scum that IF is scum? IF's power is not insignificant at all.

Final Fantasy Mafia (Game Over)

Did anyone get a PM about abilities used on them? "I targeted the dude who got nightkilled" is convenient for scum making a fake claim -- like during the ultima game this was going to be the plan I would use to explain why I had too few seer results: I investigated the guy who got killed. This is only relevant if abilities generate messages on the targets, but it's not like even scum would know if that were true or not on night 1.

Final Fantasy Mafia (Game Over)

@piano It's not a disguise ability. Scum would have to wait until night. If there's some sort of day swap then 1) it's super abuseable 2) my bet is CAVE had the disguise powers and he was town. The cop thing is just silliness.

@Liberty I see it, don't worry. I would buy this more if they hadn't been around for that extra hour where IF was one vote away from hammer. It would've been a great time for scum to get town-cred by hammering their lost cause brethren, and they'd gain xp in the process. They also didn't vote against you, for some reason, which I would've expected, because cave (town) suggested it. I'm also looking at Dudesoft (arbitrary "just for xp" vote against blob and kloe, but not IF).

I'm interested in hearing from blob why or why not he used his power last night.

Final Fantasy Mafia (Game Over)

He didn't actually embed anything, that was just a joke on my part. I doubt that's what got him killed, but, if so, sorry cave.

Final Fantasy Mafia (Game Over)

#lynch InfectionFiles
There's pretty much nothing that could convince me /not/ to vote against revealed scum but if anyone's got a reason to take the full 48 hours on this, then, speak up. I doubt we'll hammer IF before he gets here, hopefully with a sooz-like "tribute to the greatest mafioso" video.

@piano Scum would protect IF from nightkills so that we'd have to waste a day lynching him. IF himself has a roleblock power that could've saved him as well.

Final Fantasy Mafia (Game Over)

I don't think the powers conflict, necessarily. I don't think a weird roleblocker combined with a handicapped doc breaks the game. IF can't target the same target twice anyway. Unless I misread and IF is claiming is a doc-like power works by targeting the target rather than the actor, in which case, yes, that sounds off.

Final Fantasy Mafia (Game Over)

@Liberty Sorry, missed your post. Don't get me wrong, I have my own theories about skills and items (thank you FF wiki) but I don't think it should be our primary method of determining who to lynch. After the night phase we'll hopefully get a glimpse of what scum can do with their own abilities (do they have weird quasi-nightkill? are they roleblocking? etc) and only then does it make sense to link those back. Until then, calling people's stuff "scummy" just invites them to claim.

Also I agreed with IF that you were suspicious. I'd previously asked him who he thought was scum and you showed up for us both.

@Blob that's a weird as hell ability. You're right that it might be exploitable. Depending on the definition of "save" might be enough to get to the endgame. I'm assuming it circumvents assassination-like abilities. Trying to think of other ways to exploit it.
