See, that's what I was thinking. CAVE said he got a PM. about getting his roles swapped. How exactly do we know that wasn't a butterspreader lie?
Cave's an obvious choice for a role swap. He doesn't know what role he was, so he can't say "Hey guys, I was watermelon announcer. So if anyone flips announcer, they were scum!" So I believe him on the swap. Kloe seems to be making it pretty clear what caused what this game.

the likelihood of marrend using that phrase again and not realising that it could be linked back to him is infinitely greater than someone else pulling off a framejob involving two year old forum quotes
yeah this is why I think if anyone is intentionally incriminating Marrend here, it's Gourd, because who the hell else would remember that?

How could you come to the conclusion that Marrend is a possible scum when that would mean mafia would basically out themselves? Hinting at themselves would be painfully easy to see, and stupid (I'm assuming mafia isn't stupid, here). Their PMs were deliberate, all right, but I'm almost POSITIVE that it's to draw our attention on non-scum.
It could be accidental and Marrend incriminated himself. It could intentionally incriminating to Marrend in which case it's someone who played piano's game or Gourd just faked it. Both seem reasonable to me. My guess is intentionally incriminating because why else would scum send it? It accomplishes no other visible purpose.

@piano Odd named you as the author, of course you thought of your own conversations. Did you seriously jump to that slack conversation just from Gourd's post? I am not at all unsure about Ratty. Based on what Odd has described of his message, do you think that it's a copy/paste of something you said? Or a copy/paste of something Ratty said? Like this is the only reason I have to distrust you right now, this fact combined with that you and Ratty are both trying to push the "Ratty is being framed" narrative. It is very clear to me that Ratty slipped up when Odd named you instead of himself and Ratty jumped the gun on the "it was YM."
I have no opinion on Marrend. I think that's useless to reason about. The information came from scum and they didn't just send a taunting PM to gourd to be smug, they did it for a reason. My guess would be either Marrend or Gourd is scum. Ratty is undoubtedly scum.

I think there wouldn't be anything printed if Frogge was blocked. But having Gourd choke and writhe on the floor, and then Frogge sulking or whatever would sure implied that Frogge got the poison there okay but it just didn't work out.

But knowing that, Marrend could've /actually/ sent it to prove his innocence, etc. However, it relies that we search the site for specific mentions of certain keywords. All we can conclude from this is that someone on scumteam played piano's game and saw how LockeZ got nailed, which is a bunch of people.
