Here's a TOPIC for DISCUSSION:
Everyone who made me go to a shitty and annoying third party hosting site instead of just putting your game up on the gracious and generous free hosting that RMN provides...SHAME ON YOU.
I believe a lot of demos are submitted but still "Pending," which would be my case... Better than saying "Sit tight, my demo's coming in 1-3 days!"
Lament of a Pactkeeper
If you remember Sarevok's contest on GamingW, the object was to create a full game that took one hour to play, in under two weeks. So it's a bit of a compressed experience. The point to expanding it would be to make it a "full" game instead of a "complete" one.

Qoppa is a loose federation of lab overseers and administrators. Not too long ago, a researcher made a "discovery" on a lab in Planet Corinth. This creation was promptly destroyed. To prevent the secret from being rediscovered, Qoppa slowly cut off communication between labs on different planets, using the Master Server on the space station Eris to shut down communication lines. Only one free research base remains.
This is on the planet Corinth. The resistance group Terra Nova is the only group making independent inquiry in the known worlds. Qoppa seeks to destroy it. Their goal is to free the research facilities on other planets and ultimately destroy the Master Server on Eris.
Tau wakes up in the Terra Nova lab with no recollection of who he is or what he is doing there. It seems that he is a soldier developed by Terra Nova to assist in guerilla operations against Qoppa. He gradually learns the truth behind the men who created him, and the fate of his predecessor cyborgs, Omicron and Rho.

Light Map Dilema!
Okay, yeah, that's what I thought you were doing. First things first... Are you indexing the picture? (If you don't know how, on the GIMP, it's Color->Mode->Indexed->256). If that's done, what is the size of the picture? I believe up to 640*480 is allowable so you shouldn't be having problems. However, make sure the screenshot you're editing is 320*240 before you start. To ensure this, press F5 when testplaying.

Well, it's about time to start taking a multitude of screenshots... I have about 40 maps right now and the demo probably will only have access to ten of them if I can't event them all in time... Oh well.
Light Map Dilema!
Specify more what the effect is. What are you importing the image as? Panorama? Picture? Make sure the screenshot is in the right scale, as in, you've pressed F5 first.
Monsters with Charasets?
I received this set a while ago from someone who has since disappeared. It was labeled "Edo" and originally came with chipsets as well. I guess it's fine to use, but I'd also be glad if anyone could ID this stuff for me... I have absolutely no idea where it came from.

No Button Input in Vx?
You may also be interested in the RM2K Utility... It can check for the RTP resources automatically and import them, as well as changing the full package flag. Just to save time in the future.
