A Web Log

If you still need testers I'm happy to throw my hat in the ring. Even if not, I'm actually replaying the original now so I may have a few balance things to point out just in case they've slipped past all these years haha.

Umbral Soul

Avast flags it too. It's definitely clean though. Like you said, a lot of firewalls/virus detection just don't like maker games for whatever reason.

I know Avast flags it because I just redownloaded and started another playthrough. Game is still great, and I am looking forward to the update and sequel eventually! My old offer of testing still stands if you want, Wheelman.

Everlong

Lots of downtime recently (unemployment! yay! ...kinda) so I am going through this for the first time in a while, but a question for you, DJC.

In the Skill Shard menu, is there a way to see a description of the skills? It's kind of a pain to have to unlock a skill then exit out, go to the main menu, open up the skills menu and look there and decide if I want to keep it.

(this message brought to you by the fact that I forgot Vetu doesn't get hit all elementals for a really long time)

If anybody ever answers - forget the last 2 entries - the game doesn't work - I played it for a long time -using win 7 - then I had to reinstall win 7 and game does not work anymore - I put everything I had before back in - completely updated - what am I missing - I'm stumped and want to continue playing - Thanks for any help !!! (from anyone if not the maker !)

Only thing I can think of is maybe check the Windows Firewall to make sure the game is on the allowed list? Sometimes Maker games can be caught by it for no real reason.

Lakria Legends

@KoopaKush

I'm having an issue with Masoud's quest:

According to the guide I have plenty of materials, and S-Ranked Mirage Temple so I got and used the pattern, but the Al'Setet isn't appearing on the craft menu

Dragon Warrior: Begin a New Quest

Redownloaded this after I got distracted by other games. Determined to see it through this time! As if to spur me on, the game has been very generous. After a total of four lottery games, I won the golden ticket. A few more and I got a Ruby of Greater Protection and Meteorite Armband!

...although I may now have a gambling problem lol

New Save Screen (Potentially...)

If you really super want it in there, I'd say make it the very last thing you do. From a player perspective, it's incredibly minor, and it would be kind of awful to lose all progress for it.

I found a really weird bug related to Silas.

Again, I'm not sure if it was mentioned before. On very rare occasion, when you select Silas' Blade Art command and go to the menu inside of it to choose which skill to use (Climhazzard, Shatterstrike, etc) Silas will end up using a Blade Art on himself (while I'm still in the menu). I've had this happen to me a few times so far and usually nothing will happen and the battle will play on normally. However, the last time this happened, somehow every single character's battle animation got messed up and they all disappeared. Nothing happened to them (didn't die or lose HP) but their battle animations were all over the place. I'm at Moogle Village, and so far the only way the battle animations have been able to fix themselves is if that character died. So, Cid hasn't died since the incident and his battle pose is locked into him running away. I'm not sure if anyone's encountered this yet...does anyone else use Silas frequently?

Silas is my guilty pleasure character. He's not great until around level 50 when he gets a really good skill, but I still use him a good amount. This bug only seems to happen if

1) Silas is in the fourth slot
2) You have two characters with the summon command in the first two slots

When you open the Blade Art menu, Silas will step forward and the summon command animation plays (note the orbs that fly around him). This is also why everyone disappears.

I've definitely cleared Stop with Remedies before. I assume Esuna will also do it, but I'm 100% sure on Remedies.

Those three do work, they're just a lot slower/weaker than I expected them to be and so not really noticeable when you have a lot of health.

Trigger is a great healer, as long as you give him mage clothes.
Trigger is an okay healer, but you have to replace him with a better healer as the game progress.
Eh. Only thing he's really missing is X-Esuna, and it hurts a bit, sure, but Ribbons and X-Remedies are common enough that it's not really an issue. As far as numbers go, he heals plenty throughout. Like I said, just pump his Magic and it's a perfectly viable heal.
