Life is full of tribulations
I've been away for a while but I had to come back for this; take as long a break as you need, my friend, life should always come first and if you can improve it in any way then absolutely you should go for it!
I'm completely 100% with Kumada; this is a Greenlight/KS-worthy project, it looks and feels great and doesn't have an ounce of "this is RPG Maker, ha ha" to it. We all love Set Discrepancy and we know that any break you take means that, when you come back, it will be fresh and with a clear head :) The commercialisation sounds like a nightmare, having to deal with replacing audio and licensing chipsets, but still.. we're hardly going to complain if you keep it going as-is! It just means more people get to play it :D Take it easy mate and good look with Forkits! <3

That's totally fine with me! :)
I figured most people that played it more "religiously" would want to wait for a more definitive version of Chapter 2.
I've been working on new content as we speak! And when I get to a decent point, Chapter 2 will be a separate download for ease.
Religiously is definitely very apt, I love this and I think I've played through - start to finish on existing content - at least six times now :D

Great news! I think I'll wait for a longer part of C2, but when it does come I'll start over and do C1 all over again in order to see the new'n'changed stuff :D
Dragon Questionnaire II
1) That's a definite yes from me, anything to bring a touch of style to the game, BUT! If it means a quicker (Q4-2014 :'() release, then by all means ignore it!
2) Absolutely, that one looks a lot better than the RPGM default.

4) Sorry, I don't recognise it at all - it's not even vaguely familiar.
5) Naw, I don't have a 3DS so I've done everything I can to specifically IGNORE any/all talk of 3DS RPGs. It's depressing :P
6) Not at all. It's only me that uses my rig anyhow, so three slots is plenty.
7) I have a pretty epic cable line, so redownloading 150-300MB is a snap for me, I don't mind redownloading the entire game. I'm not a coder so I don't know of any workarounds for the limits of RPGM .. probably best to ask one of the more celebrated scriptors such as Yanfly.
8) Um. I'm all for more systems in a game and if it was like Fable then I'd say; sure! As long as it doesn't impede the dungeoneering and looting XD
9) Casino, depending on just how much grinding would be required ;)
10) Hell yeah! The more the merrier!

Holy shit. That battle menu! :O That looked gorgeous.. hell, the whole battle looked really good ^_^ Oh! and yes, I also think the ATB could do with being a little bit faster, though if SPD bonuses come from Nethecite levelling and your party didn't have though, that could explain the slow ATB gauge building.
Improving Difficulty
I remember raging HARDCORE about the difficulty, the game really is downright merciless at the beginning .. but once you get the heal skill (or abuse "Break Free" combat skill as it not only used for shaking off grapple status, but it also heals you for 12HP each time ;)) it becomes a lot more manageable.
