I really enjoyed this game a lot. I think it's really well done for one of your first RPG Maker games, good job with the development. The story was really catching and enjoyable because of the characters, there was a lot of humour and points that made me laugh at how and what the characters were saying and doing/interacting.

Unfortunately, I didn't quite complete it to the end, the last dungeon, from memory I think the water levels could raise with switches, the real last dungeon where you return to that area, I struggled with it and I also didn't enjoy the second visit to the new dungeon in the techi robot world either, but did complete that one.

The robot dungeon was difficult to avoid the enemies and it was one fight after another, but otherwise good. The water level raising switches puzzle I find very difficult. Overall the game is really good though.

But I do hope to return to the game and complete it fully one day.

Outside the Dungeon in Sineba and the Final Dungeon, none of the Chapter 8 dungeons are actually required. You'll only miss a couple scenes related to the characters you weren't able to recruit.

I finished the game its really well made I can't believe this is your first time making a game though well done. I got a question is new+ worth playing or will it be harder?

Only thing new in New Game + is a few silly 'what-if' scenes by beating the final boss early. And I would say only two of them adds anything to the plot if at all.

MISAO 2019 Results!

I knew people joked, but I never thought it would win.

The best title is the reward least connected to the quality of the game itself, but I'm really glad people were entertained by the title.

Congrats to the other winners as well! Great to see awesome games continuing to come from this community!

What's the Worst RPG Maker Game You've Played and Why

I feel like I could list more wrong with my own completed games than I could anyone else's, even if I thought they were the worst.

On top of the player's bringing up valid issues, I may like the talent to fix, I sometimes look back at games I completed and think "I wished I did X better." Keeps me up at night sometimes.

The RPG Maker games I'll feel safe about ratting on about, however, are the ones that are clearly one of the creator's first projects... but it's commercial. They clearly hadn't looked at a single mapping tutorial and haven't done nearly enough playtesting for the battles... but they think it's a game at a standard worth paying for.

At least with any other awful games, it could be an innocent attempt for the developer to actively learn about game design and writing. Even if the developer is a dick, at least they've taken nothing more than a bit of your time.

But if you're selling, and you don't have the skills worth selling, then your full of yourself.

RPG Maker Cola Podcast #001 (w/ JosephSeraph & Frogge) ~SPOoOoKTACULAR!~

I remember back when you did interviews with popular creators in the community. I guess this is kind of an extension, or evolution, of that.

Nice work, hope to see more of this.

The way some NPCs pause while turning bugs me a bit, but it's a huge improvement over what I had last night.

And you can talk to them now too, even though that's not shown here.

Well that was a fun diversion, now to add things that will actually affect the quality of the game.

with a poor economy they can't afford better brains
what are you talking about, everyone knows the most intelligent people run around blindly on a road with their 4 dopplegangers

lol, since it's just test footage, I didn't bother giving everyone a sprit yet.

Thankfully, since posting this, it has greatly improved. Going to post an update... with differing NPC sprites this time.

Trying out various things I could do to make towns more lively, having NPCs that wander around town would help a lot.

The events still need a lot of work though...

Weapon Durability: I personally haven't played any other rpgs with this mechanic, but my experience with the demo was positive overall. The main problem I can see is the possibility of your weapon going dull at a critical moment, like in a boss fight. You could get around this by either allowing the character to spend a turn equipping a different weapon mid-battle or having it wait to go dull after the battle ends.

The later idea never occurred to me. That's actually a pretty neat idea, so I'll definitely keep this in mind!

Currently, this project is second on my priority list, but I would really like to get Chapter 2 out before the end of the year. It's one of the bigger updates so once I get over that hurdle, the following chapters shouldn't take as long.

If that turns out to be unreasonable, I'll split the update in half and release a 1.5 update that adds the optional dungeons that can be explored between Chapters.

SPOILERS!

Actually, it's pretty simple. I started NG+ and almost immediately went to the dark crystal out of curiosity. No one told me that I was buying myself a ticket to Final Bossville, but hey, dem's the breaks. Either way, I managed to beat him and get Ending 3, but thing is I saved as soon as I got there.

To keep it short, I want out. Anyway to get back to Theweith or do I gotta beat the final boss again and open another save for a new New Game plus?

I can PM you a NG+ save a file.
