Nominating Commercial Games for Misaos

It's not up yet, we're planning to launch it by the end of the week~ I'll see what I can do about getting you some banners. Should I put "Kickstarter" on them?

Nominating Commercial Games for Misaos

Hey guys! I didn't think there was a thread about this ;x thanks for wanting to nominate my project though I really appreciate the support! YANTH wasn't going to be commercial at first, but once I was able to recruit a team then the dream suddenly became possible.

Anyway, everything hedges on the Kickstarter being a success or nobody gets their money until I work it off at the local taco bell ;x I wish going commercial suddenly gave me a big budget but I've been working my ass off to make sure the game looks as good as possible for the launch.

If the game is overfunded, I was thinking of carrying over some of the extra funds to other RM games that really deserve it. The fact that YANTH will be made with RM won't go unnoticed and I want to show people that good games can come out of the engine, not just undercooked ones. Again I really appreciate the support guys and I hope to have it during the campaign!

[Poll] Would you sell your game on RMN?

Completely down for this.

My intro to the RMN Scene

I've only read what, maybe 10 topics on the forum so far Kentona, and I see what you're saying. Thanks for the warm welcomes, I'll keep up the work Addit~

How do people in the community handle negativity?

Step one would be to find the difference between criticism and unwarranted negativity.

My personal rule is, when you're given feedback and criticism, take it with a grain of salt. Everyone plays games differently, so their opinion may not be valid for your game. You know what you want your game to be. On the other hand, if their feedback makes some sense to you, or more than one person voices the same opinion, you may want to rethink your approach.
Don't immediately drop everything you're doing or planning and change your game because someone thinks it should be done differently. Hold fast onto your plan. Instead of changing it, make it better.

Now if it's just negativity, you shouldn't just forget it completely, but you shouldn't let it affect you either. Just realize that there's a reason why they're being a debbie downer. They didn't like something. From what they're saying, try to get a good idea of why they're saying it. You can decide then if you want to ignore them completely or improve your game where they think it's lacking.

Bottom line is, don't let it get to you, just use it to improve.

My intro to the RMN Scene

Hey guys, Seita here!

I'm not new to the rpg maker scene, having played around with the 2k and 2k3 series as a kid, and completing one chapter of a game with RMXP named "Ballad of the Wind" between high school and college. After a five year hiatus, I'm finally back with VX Ace, and well on my way to a fully realized game with "You Are Not The Hero!"

I've frequented RMW since the beginning of 2013, and I finally burst my way into the scene here at RMN through the RSW event. Hope to get some great feedback and to give some here as well!
