I'm actually fairly proud of this.

Puong, the intended mascot monster for my Stella series.

Recolouring. Discuss.

It makes sense for families of monsters or characters that are unimportant, generally, that's how I do things, Zuong is basically a green Puong & Muong a purple one.

As stated many times earlier, it's a time saver, who wants to spend weeks, months, days creating who knows how many new sprites when one could be doing more important things, like story or mapping?

What's your favorite transportation in an RPG?

Ragnarok will always be the best airship.
I came.

No, but the Ragnarok from FF8 was the bees knees because of how you obtained it: totally abandoned in the middle of nowhere, infested with monsters--monsters that you had to kill. It was like you were purifying the ship and claiming it as your own (actually, that's EXACTLY what it was). It was just so cool.

Oh, I forgot to mention HOW BADASS IT LOOKS.

A spaceborne Fireship. ;D

But, you don't fight the Queen of Karnak on the Ragnarok, so, it's obviously lesser?

Recruiting...

The story itself is pretty simple, hero wakes up, fights evil classic kinda RPG. As for the engine it's being doing on XP as of now, but, I'm also comfortable with the other 3 engines 2k(3) & VX, so, I can move production to any of those if need be.

Also, really, I'll only need two sets of resources, maybe three. Stella I - III are all NES styled and can use a lot of the same resources, whereas IV - VII will be SNES styled and can all use similar resources.

The biggest influences on the style that I want are Phantasy Star, Star Ocean & Dragon Quest.

I dunno if this should go here, but...

Wow, that was cool, i didn't read it all cause i feeled like being in the school and get lazy n.n' (thats why I get low grades)
Also, I have read fun words in your post that don´t sound to much as english, and sound more like spanish, And i read you are specialized in languages or something like that so I suppose you talk spanish. ¿Am i correct?

I'm part Boricua so, I know a small bit of Spanish, unfortunately not Boriqueno but Dominicano Espanol. But yeah, in the sounds dept. I took from a lot of sources, l being a lateral fricative was inspired by Welsh and the orthography is Portuguese and Hungarian influenced.

Recruiting...

...8bit Sprite artist, tileset manufacturer & so on and so forth for my Stella project, you don't have to be terribly good? You just have to want to create something enjoyable with me. =]

Anyone who signs on board will be credited as a full developer and will help shape the future of the project with all rights accorded. All materials created for the project will remain the respective properties of the creator(s), so, well, you can do what you want with it.

Also recruiting a scripter and a co-mapper. Maybe two co-mappers, 'cause I have my lazy days. >.> Oh, and maybe a composer, but, if no one wants to compose, I guess I can just steal musicas from other games (read: take with full credits to original authors). Of course, I can't offer any compensation other than the satisfaction of creating something new (read: I'm a poor college student with no job.), and so everyone who works with me will also get a complimentary package of my love and adoration.

tl;dr I need people to make my game for me. =O

Anyone need a RPG VX mapper?

Are you only limited to VX? Because I have a couple of collab projects I'm starting/working on for 2k(3)/XP. And, I think them maps are pretty good.

I dunno if this should go here, but...

...Here's the grammar to a language I've been working on, figured I should get it out there. This was actually the first language I ever did, and so I decided a couple months ago to completely redo it, now instead of being an Indo-European clone it's a Finno-Ugric clone with Nez Perce & Japanese features, yay!

I'm probably the only person excited about this, but, whatever, I suppose. xD

There you guys go.

How do you pronounce Yggdrasill? I have no idea how to begin to pronounce that.
Say the "Ygg" part as "Igg" (as in "Iggy"), and the rest normal. That particular pronunciation I heard somewhere in Valkyrie Profile 2 - Silmeria, and it sounded oddly correct to me. However, I'm not an expert on these things.

You could also use this anglicised pronounciation as well, but, the Old Norse pronunciation is so much more fun. ;D

/yɡ.drɑ.sil/

Y is pronounced EE but with rounded lips, a is pronounced like the a in spa for New York or London English speakers, so like an AW sound d is always pronounced like d never like j like in dream, g is always hard g never soft like in Gerald, l is pronounced like the l in well, like, never like in milk or mail (never pharyngealised), and i is prenounced similar to y but without the rounding of the lips.
