MECHNITE (Demo v1.1)

It's currently set to private until March 2nd. It's mentioned in the note under the video. I tend to record stuff well in advance of when it will go public. I guess I had just filled up the queue with so much content that one of the mods decided to approve them instead of having to keep a notepad full of dates to remember in order to go back and approve them.

Grimps: Squeaking of the Dead

I recorded the Let's Play before I did the review. I just use the current month to record next month's content.

Rock leaves Scissors

I just found a decent tactic for tackling this game.

Twhylight (RV)

Thankfully I can't say for sure if this game is better written since I've never read the book and never will. After all, I have much better things to read like "Dealing with Dragons" by Patricia Wrede or "Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher" by Bruce Coville.

Though I suppose if I wanted to go with something a bit more classic I could bring up a certain trilogy by an author with R. R. in his initials, but while I own copies of those books I haven't read any of them yet. It's one of those things on my very long to do list.

Take Down: The Panda of Truth - Parts 01 & 02

At least the combat system isn't so broken that it makes the game impossible to complete or forces the player to rely on cheap, luck-based tactics.

Probably one of the most obvious examples of this that's still easily accessible is "Nociel (After story)" by Wishiyo where all of the bosses are so powerful you'll be forced to try and endlessly stun lock them with leg sweeps if you want to win.

Unfortunately one of the best examples of an impossible to beat game I can think of is some of the stuff that was put out by RedWall10 over the years where magic spells ignored the player's resistance stat and would allow enemy mages to tear through the player like they were made out of wet paper. And some of the fights in his games would force the player to confront multiple mages that can cast powerful group spells at the same time. And he'd always mess with the level curve to give everyone a super slow growth rate like Dratini in Pokemon. So you'd need to devote hours of your life to grinding in order to beat his games. And usually the most efficient way to earn experience in his games was doing utterly mindless tasks like baking thousands of cakes in a process that just required the player to endless tap the z key.

Thinken! - Parts 01 to 05

Thanks, but I never did finish this game. And I don't even intend to at the moment.

Queen of Cups (Demo)

I wasn't planning on trying again since I really don't have a reason to. Like I said I already submitted a review for the demo build. So there isn't much I could do beyond trying to complete a demo that is so broken that it wouldn't be worth the effort.

Queen of Cups (Demo)

Yeah, I gave up after walking through the forest after recruiting my third party member led me back to the opening cut scene of the game and then dreaded black screen of death shortly after it completed.

Though the game being in an unplayable state didn't stop me from writing a review either.

Let's Play: Jotun Colosseum (RV) - Parts 06 & 07

I'm determined to beat this one again. Though I've only cleared up to Gold Regular at this point. I've actually been using it to farm money for upgrades by doing the first three matches and then quitting out. I could win the entire thing, but I can't do it fast enough to make it worthwhile.

I suppose I'll have to consider the value of more speed versus more attack pretty soon.

Edit: On the plus side I'm only recording one episode a month for this one. So at least I'm spreading out the pain.
