What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

Yeah, the opening area for BotW is the best thing Nintendo has done in ANYTHING for ages. I mean, when I decided to do a second playthrough to get all the shrines (+ see what the game is like when I'm not cheesing it with the broken climbing/gliding mechanics and hyper-detailed map) after having done my first, even though it'd only been a few months, I still loved doing the Plateau.

OFFICIAL IGMC 2017 TAKING PART THREAD (BETTER THAN REVIVER) EXTRAVAGANZA 2,000,000

Yeah, I'm redeeming the codes now and apparently "starter pack" means like, 9 fukkin DLCs individually

Still pretty weird that graphic and music resources cost more than the games made with them lol

Huge RM deal at HumbleBundle to go with it, too

I mean, VX Ace for $1 minumum? Sure. I might not actually use it for anything, but maybe I'll at least be able to participate in some of this site's more RM-centric events.

e: holy hell what kind of RM "starter pack" costs more than $100?

Revive the Dead 2: Deader or Alive

I've chosen to revive a game I haven't worked on since RMN's 10th birthday event ended.
Oh snap, I forgot I had actually started something for that. I even have some (shitty) sprites left over. Hmm, now I'm conflicted on whether I should revive that instead...

e: oh, I forgot that project gave me some programming trouble. I think I'll just save it for another time...

What are you thinking about right now?

I suppose "do the practice project you were going to do back in 2013 but then didn't" isn't quite as in the spirit of the event as the other people here bringing up their abandoned, half-finished projects, but if Libby's saying it's within the rules I might just do it.
Welp, I'm sitting here finishing off the doc, so hey, let's do it 4 realz

Project: Never really had an official name. The document is just titled "Fruit Drop" but I'll have to think of something else b/c that sounds like a Match-3 game, which this is not.

To Do: Make the game lol. I could just copy-paste the todo section from the doc, but... to keep it brief:
o All assets (graphics, music, sfx) need to be made.
o I have a basic movement control prototype and that's it, so everything else - game structure, enemy behavior, scoring, etc etc needs to be done.

If this weren't going to be an 80s-styled arcade game, that's be a fuck-ton to do, but I actually feel optimistic about completing this. Hell, I might have time to do more than what I have outlined already.

e: to make a 1-week goal, I should be able to get the graphics done in a week.

Something with at least a bit of progress would probably be best, since that would reduce some of the workload for you (and don't worry, I'm in the same boat, with about 50 games that have one map or only a cast or general story idea. XD )
Glad it's not just me lol

But, looking over my massive graveyard, there is one that stands out. It's got a mostly-complete document and seems reasonably sized to get done in a month.

So, the rules say that the project can't have been worked on in a while, but there's no mention of how much it has to have been worked on before you dropped it. Cuz, I have a pile of like, 800 projects from the past several years that made it as far as a fairly-thorough text document; a few sketches; like, three sprites maybe; and for a few of them maybe a rudimentary GM project where I got some squares to move around and have collision events I guess.

I mean, given my history with other events on this site there's only a 0.4% chance I would actually get anything done for this event anyways, but I figured I'd ask.
