People used to think I was a silent protagonist. But I was just painfully shy.

Once there was a happy couple who had a young boy. The boy was healthy in every way, except no matter how old he grew, he did not speak. His parents took him to doctors, therapists, and everyone they could think of, but the boy never said a word. This continued for many years, until the boy was a teenager. They were a happy family, but his parents always worried for their boy and his future.
One day, they sat down for a typical family dinner.
"Hey Mom, can you pass the potatoes?" the boy asked.
The father nearly fainted. The mother burst into tears. "My boy, my boy! You can talk! All these years we've been so worried about you! Why haven't you spoken until now?"

Aw, that's always a pity. The shy people often are the ones who would have the most interesting things to say.
But I'm really glad you managed to overcome your shyness. Plus, RMN wouldn't be the same without Unity.
Edit: Aaand I just got slashphoenix'd. :)

"Did you like that book I sent ya? Its a hit with all the heroes!"
"Why the heroes are the ones that need it I'll never know."
EDIT: I never understood that elephant joke from Animal Crackers until very recently.

Introverts are givers of energy. Extroverts are takers of energy. Unity, you are a giver! You give everyone energy, and that's what REALLY drives a community!

Aww! What a sweet thing to say! ^_^ Thank you!
I am still a pretty shy person in real life, tho >.<;;

...I'm just silent but deadly. Hard to tell if I'm the protagonist or antagonist some days.

Hey, why do you have to be so mean to extroverts? ;_;
Many of us are really doing our best, you know? Honest.

Because it's true. Introverts feel exhausted, drained, and (in my case) physically ill after a large social gathering in which many people invade their comfort zone (which is around 1.5X arm's length). Extroverts feel that way if they're alone for a long period of time because they thrive on the energy a gathering of people provide.
One's not exactly better than the other. It's just how human brains are wired.
I'd say you're over it now, Ms At-the-top-of-the-top-posts-list~
I am glad to see that you've settled in well, though. It'd be a dimmer place without you in it. ^.^

Awww, thank you so much, Liberty! :DDDD
It helps that I found such a great forum with people who share my passion for making games!

This. So much this. Having that sense of belonging (dare I say family!?) seriously helps!
@Red_Nova:
Well, I probably wouldn't have put it exactly like that, but in a way, you're probably right. Though I believe extroverts can also be givers since they often infuse a lot of their own energy into social communication. Plus, introversion and shyness aren't necessarily the same thing, and it's actually totally possible to be both extroverted and shy. (I am.)
Also, I'm really sorry to hear being among too many people causes you such problems. I'm sure you've found many ways to deal with it, but it probably must be frustrating sometimes.
But really, it shouldn't even matter much in the end whether someone is intro- or extroverted or whatever. You people are all really nice and helpful, and that's what I care about most.
