Any good RPGs for the Wii U? (Or must-have games in general?)

I am having a lot of fun with the big name titles like Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8, and Super Mario 3D World. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is also pretty fun.

I haven't strayed far from that, though.

Back in the day we used to be able to rent games to try out, but that doesn't seem to be a thing anymore.

I was only able to play a little bit myself, but I know a bunch of my friends loved Xenoblade. Though it's a Wii game, I'm pretty sure they're making a WiiU sequel. I've also heard really good things about Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. Both are action RPGs - I don't know if there's any classic turn-based ones around... maybe in the indie store?

Outside of RPGs, Treasure Tracker is pretty fun for just a tricky little puzzle game, and Nintendoland is a blast to play with a few friends. And, of course, Smash Bros is always super fun :D

Yeah, that would be nice, honestly. I hadn't planned to get a WiiU, but my lovely roommate bought one, so I'm going to take full advantage of the opportunity. :D

I haven't gotten far in Xenoblade, only because I got on a GAM MAK kick and haven't come back to it yet ^^;; I also def plan to get Smash Bros, as I've enjoyed all the previous ones ^_^

None that I know of that are out right now, though I'd keep an eye on Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Bof2 is on virtual console, and if you can access the Wii channel, you can also access the stuff on the Wii store I do beleive.

I don't think there are that many RPGs on the WiiU as of yet, which I think is a waste considering that the genre would work so well with the touch-screen game pad.

But naw, Sony pretty much hogs them all.

Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem. A cross over of two of my favorite series' of all time. It's the first time in my life where I'm sold on the premise alone. Everything I've ever wanted in my gaming life would be right there in a single disk! It's going to come out in Japan this year, with the hope of a U.S. localization sometime later.

And it's Wii U exclusive.
