Coffee. Lots of coffee. Or soda if you're not into that.
Here's a more natural solution:
Inhale for 4 seconds through your nose, hold your breath for 16 seconds, then breathe out through your mouth for 8 seconds. Do this about 4 or 5 times. What this does is the equivalent of jump starting a car, just with your brain instead. When it realizes that it doesn't have a constant supply of oxygen, your brain will send a sort of alert throughout the body to get more active and search for oxygen, as well as expelling all the bad oxygen from your lungs. That will wake you up with little to no trouble. I did this all the time when I had insomnia a few years back, and it really works.
EDIT: Make sure to count slowly when doing this. Like, 1.5 seconds for every second.
EDIT 2: When I say breathe in and breath out, make sure to COMPLETELY fill your lungs then COMPLETELY empty them, otherwise this exercise will not work.
Hope that helps!

Will try that! And note it down.
Heard of similar breathing techniques before, but never tried to apply them to that, hahah!

I played the tuba when I was in marching band back in high school, so I had to learn to move massive amounts of air in a short time. As a result, I'm very well versed in breathing exercises to both wake you up and help you play.
Wanna know a fun one to REALLY get you going (and make you dizzy)?
Breathe in for 4 seconds, then breathe out for four seconds. Repeat 3 times. Breathe in for 3 seconds, breathe out for 3 seconds. Repeat 3 times. Repeat this pattern for breathing in/out for 2 seconds, then 1 second.
If you don't wake up after that, then you can officially be classified as dead. Just make sure there's a soft landing around you.

Wow, that feels a little weird, but it totally wakes me up. That's really strange. Thanks XD

Oh man, that's rough. I have enough trouble sleeping without distractions like that >.<;;
