Hmm... I wonder if all of these pre-order goodies for RPG Maker MV will still be available later on...

I was going to wait on getting MV since my next couple of games are already set up to be made in Ace, but if this preorder deal is the only way to get all these cool freebie add-ons, I may consider preordering after all.

The way Nessy was talking to me last night (I was jokingly mad because she told me the cover art characters wouldn't get any love a few weeks ago), it sounded like they were preorder-only.

Then I guess I'll be pre-ordering XD

I'm generally against pre-ordering, and it went against my initial gut reaction to do so (and I am a very intuition-based man), but I don't mind in this case for a few reasons.

  • It's $71 for a program worked on by people I personally know and produced by a company that I have trusted for over half of my life
  • $71 is also very cheap for game engines + full resource set
  • The audiovisual packs that Degica sells are already absolute steals at their $10-20 pricing (compared to commissions) and the pre-order includes what seems to be about two sets worth of bonuses
  • It comes with Yanfly scripts already ready to go, which is partially what held me back from buying Ace quickly. YF's engine is free of course, but already being ready is very helpful

Those are some good points! The fact that cool people like Nessy work with Degica and that those freebies are from highly-respected creators and coders really makes it seem like a safe bet to me!

I went ahead and pre-ordered ^_^ Even though I may not being using the engine for a little while, it'll be nice to have those extra goodies included :D

Having Yanfly's name on the package would certainly entice more pre-orders, though you can just grab his stuff to use whenever. And I'd rather pick and choose individual plugins to use rather than have a whole bunch of them ready-made.

Though literally everything else are cool incentives to pre-order.

I highly doubt that they'll all be in the default project, Red. All bonus scripts in the past have been in .txt form or a sample game.
