It varies from game to game, but I generally enjoy them, though I don't have anywhere near all of them.
that's like asking if you like every flavor of ice cream, ratty
most of the series is animu pulp. some people like it, i find it gross and annoying and over-the-top. tales of the abyss is okay but is still Angst Central. i've heard good things about (but have not played) tales of vesperia.
tales of zestiria is barely a tales game anymore. it's a somewhat open-world fighting game/jrpg hybrid with a fairly mature story and a very well-written cast that doesn't rely solely on tropes/dumb mannerisms.
zestiria >>>> abyss >>>>>>>> the rest imo

I've only played 2, Vesperia and Abyss. (haven't finished Vesperia however).
Abyss had too much lore and had too much exposition for me. Though it's still a great game.
Vesperia's gameplay feels odd with an Xbox controller and has a shit ton of battle add-ons and systems.
I might get Zestiria, it looks interesting, also

Interesting. I remember starting with Tales of Phantasia (the first game?) and I can't remember why I didn't continue playing it past the introductory segment.
Seeing all the praise it's been getting, I might end up buying it myself pretty soon. Even though I said I'd swear off Tales of after how much Xillia sucked. (protip: don't play Tales of Xillia)
Vesperia is a pretty good game from what I remember. Shame they never translated the PS3 port of it, since I don't own a 360 anymore. I've been meaning to check out Legendia again at some point, even though Craze has been warning me off of it for a while now.
